Caelin grinned like an idiot as he began to twirl me around the dance floor. Our feet moved as if we were floating... And it took me a moment to realize that we were.
Caelin was moving his silky black wings just slightly, buy it was enough to keep us in the air. His arms were wrapped tightly around me as we began to skim over the heads of many of the people on the floor. His black eyes met mine. I looked away, blushing. He chuckled.
As we danced I studied his face. How his shaggy bangs fell carelessly into his eyes... How his lips curved up just a bit when he was in a good mood. And... Two or three freckles dotted his nose. Adorable.
His wings beat the air softly. The sound of his rustling feathers was soothing, and I became drowsy. I rested in his arms as he continued to sway with the music. I smiled up at him. The look in his eyes was something I had never seen from him before. I think it was...
Could it possibly be love?

A few days later
That question burned in my head for days after the gala. Did Caelin love me? Had I seen compassion in his black, icy eyes?
Possibly.
There had to be a way for me to find out for sure.
I walked down the staies, looking to visit Zara's room. She was on her bad, looking through a magazine that was from earth. She smiled as I walked in. He little white horns glitteredmin her blue hair.
"I need a portal to heaven." I said simply.
Zara blinked. "Er... why?"
"I have a question I need to ask whatever higher power their is. Please Zara? I wont run away this time."
She sighed. "You wont run?"
"No."
A few minutes late she was looking through a book. She chnted words in latin, and a spiraling golden portal ripped a tear in the air around us.
I looked at Zara and nodded. I let my fingers skim through the portal, testing it. It was then that I stepped into heaven.

As I stepped through the portal, a strange feeling came upon me. It was like... I was home. I knew this place.
It wasnt even a place really... More of an endless golden light that seemed to stretch on forever. It was so warm... Like a bonfire on a summer night. But it was also cool, like dewy spring grass.
And the feelings of this place... It was like having your first kiss, or going on a new adventure. But it was peaceful at the same time! Oh, how wondeful it would be just to float in this light...
"Ah, so you're back, are you?" said a voice. Soon there appeared a man, with wings of pure white. They spead out behind him, shimmering.
"Gabriel, you know she doesnt rember!" said another voice, and a young boy appeared. He gave me a warm smile and said, "Hello, Deliah."
My eyes were wide. "Are... Are you angels?"
"Yes."
I took a deep breath. "What cant I remember?"
"We are not the ones to tell you that. We are sorry." said the man, Gabriel.
I noticed that in his hand he held a beautiful french horn. I looked up at him, noticing that his eyes were a striking gold.
"Are you the ones to tell me wether Caelin loves me or not?" I said.
The boy shook his head. He looked around my age, and he looked a bit like me. Weird. He had the same white hair, and blue eyes with just the dusting of rosey pink. "Caelin is a Dark Angel. Creatures of pure heritage cannot concern themselves with the beings of Hell."
"Well, you were of absolutely no help..."
The boy gave me a look of pity. "I will tell you this. There is more to Caelin than you realize. There is more to learn about yourself as well. Let things take their course." He smiled. "No, sister, I am afraid you must go."
I tilted my head to the side. "Sister?"
He grinned michiviously.
I stepped back through the portal.
