Zwei sat on the leather sofa in the library, leaned against the armrest as he read from an old, worn book. The fireplace blazed, casting him and the furniture around him in a warm orange glow. Zwei liked to come here to read at night, well after everyone was asleep. Less commotion, less headache-inducing sunlight. Just the warmth of the fire and the smell of books. The moment of bliss was disrupted when the large door opened suddenly. Zwei looked up with a frown, glaring at the newcomer. Seeing it was Will, his face softened and he nodded in greeting, turning back to his book.

Will slowly shut the door and made his way over to Zwei, standing behind the sofa. "What are you reading?" he asked quietly. Will enjoyed being with Zwei, even if it meant coming after the Pines have gone to sleep. He was aware of Zwei's tendency to read after lights out and recently found that Zwei was very different from his usual self around this time. Certainly not in a bad way. Will leaned over the chair a bit so he could look over Zwei's shoulder at the book in his hands.

Zwei shrugged. "I've got no clue." He stated simply, eyes skimming over the faded pages. "Everything in here is so old. It's nearly impossible to read an entire sentence what with all the worn out spots." Zwei drug his thumb over one of the many blank spots that'd been completely void of ink, frowning in displeasure. "I've tried a billion times and I can't even piece together the bits of information I've already gotten to make a decent plot in my mind." He shrugged and shut the book, turning to look up at Will with half-lidded, tired eyes. "Come sit, I don't bite." With a wink and a small smirk, he added "Hard, anyway." And turned to the fireplace.

Will snorted and walked around the sofa, plopping down beside Zwei as he looked at the fireplace.

"Why aren't you asleep?" Zwei looked over at Will, hoping the slight and sudden blush on his cheeks wasn't obvious. Zwei never really noticed how sharp Will's cheekbones and jawline were. Nice. Will shrugged, looking up at Zwei. Oh, wow. Okay. His eyes had little Amber flecks that all but glowed in the firelight. Very nice.

"Couldn't." Will closed his eyes and leaned his head against Zwei's shoulder as though it was the most normal, natural thing in the world for him to do.

Zwei, on the other hand, may as well have burst into flame on the spot. It took everything in him not to tense up, and he knew his face was hot enough to rival molten lava. Trying to be as nonchalant as Will was (the other male was obviously incredibly comfortable with the impromptu cuddle session), he wrapped an arm around his waist, pulling him against his side. Will hummed happily, smiling as he nuzzled his face against Zwei's shoulder. He hunched his shoulders as he pressed closer to Zwei, hands balled up into loose fists against his chest.

Zwei slowly leaned his cheek against Will's hair. His heart was beating a mile a minute and his face was still bright red. His palms were sweaty, he was an absolute goddamned wreck. How was Will do calm? His breathing was even and he wasn't even blushing. He just leaned against Zwei, occasionally nuzzling against his sleeve again.

"Pardon my rudeness Will, but I'm not sure what's going on. What this is." Zwei immediately regretted opening his mouth as Will slowly looked up at him, frowning.

"Sorry?" Will blinked, furrowing his brow as he laughed slightly. "I don't know what you mean, Zwei."

"I mean," Zwei swallowed, his throat dry. His face was definitely noticeably red at this point. "I want clarification on our relationship. What it qualifies as, in your mind. Is it friendly, or romantic, what do you see us as?" Zwei didn't look Will in the eye, didn't look at him at all. His eyes were fixed on the fire again. But he could sense how awkward Will suddenly felt.

"I, uh, thought it went without saying." He mumbled, looking away as he turned pink as well. He began to pull away from Zwei with a soft, embarrassed laugh, but the arm around his waist remained. "Have I been sending mixed signals?"

Zwei shrugged. "Probably not. This relationship probably does go without saying, and I'm just too oblivious to figure it out." Zwei looked at him again. "You didn't answer my question. What are we?"

Zwei's question was answered with a pair of lips pressed suddenly to his, two hands gently cupping either side of his face. Zwei melted into the kiss, leaning forward as his eyes slid shut. He raised his hands to wrap them around Will's forearms, parting his lips and tilting his head to the other side.

When they finally pulled away, flushed and out of breath, Will's eyes remained closed and he leaned his forehead against Zwei's.

"Okay," Zwei said with a disbelieving laugh, rubbing circles onto Will's wrists with his thumbs. "Okay, that was answer enough for me."

"Good." Will said with a small laugh of his own, leaning forward to nuzzle the side of his nose against Zwei's. "I'm sorry I just assumed what was going on," Will nestled himself back against Zwei's side, yawning. "I kind of forgot that you're dull." Zwei snorted and made a halfhearted attempt to shove Will, who was sniggering as he buried his face in the taller male's shoulder.

"You're such an ass." Zwei rested his chin on Will's shoulder with a huff, looking back at the fire. Will swatted his arm with a frown.

"Language. And if you cared that much, you wouldn't have kissed me."

Zwei simply scoffed and pulled Will closer, peppering his face in kisses. Will made a disgusted noise and tried to pull away, though he was grinning.

"Touché, William." Will swatted his arm again.

      "Don't call me William."

"Yes ma'am." Zwei pressed another kiss to Will's cheek.

"You're kind of annoying sometimes" Will grumbled, poking Zwei's stomach to try and get him to back off. Zwei only grinned and pecked the blue-haired male's lips once more.

"If it bothered you that badly, you wouldn't have kissed me." Zwei wiggled his eyebrows with a sly grin. Will just huffed.

"Shut up." He spoke into the crook of Zwei's neck, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's (oh okay, we're using that title now. Fine by him.) shoulders with a snigger.

"Gonna have to make me." Zwei said.

      So he did.
