Chapter 6

*Skylar*

My breath was quickening and my chest started to constrict and I couldn't breathe. I started to panic and I grabbed Daryl's arm my hand slipping. He immediately looked at me concerened and put his hand on my face.

"Sky-"

"Daryl.....I can't-can't..breathe."

I choked out and my whole body convulsed so badly I was moving my bunk and Daryl was screaming for help. I heard all the chaos going on around me. People shouting and coughing suddenly Hershel apperared with Michonne and I was still trying to catch my breath. My whole body was jerking. I seen Herhsel was holding the air balloon we had been using for people. I grabbed Daryl's shirt yanking hard.

"Daryl" I squealed.

Herhsel came over to me immediately and looked at Daryl then me.

"Skylar you know what has to happen" he told me.

He had to insert the tube down my throat. I struggled agains thim while batteling my own body to take in gulps of air.

"Daryl hold her down."

Suddenly Daryl was on top of me straddling me. He pinned my wrists and I bucked and kicked. Then I felt hands wraps around my ankles and hold my feet down. Hershel was above me and he ended up getting the the tube down my throat. He waited a few seconds and pumped the balloon and air filled my lungs. I was so happy to have air in my lungs that I relaxed completely. Herhsel looked at Daryl seriously.

"Pump this every six seconds. Keep her breathing the meds are coming" he said.

Daryl took the balloon and I seen his hands shaking as he held it. He was scared. Michonne sat at the top of my head and leaned her forhead on mine.

"Hang in there Sky you're going to make it" she told me.

I closed my eyes.

A few days later

*Daryl*

It was morning. I was sure of it because the sun had already risen and I only left Skylar's cell once since she got the meds into her system. Sasha was up and walking. Glenn was with Maggie and he was doing okay still weak. And Skylar well she was passed out. She was curled in a ball withthe blanket drapped over her and she was sleeping. She was able to move around but she hadnt really done much. I didn't blame her I wanted her to be at her strongest. I was smiling and I touched Skylar's face lightly with my hand and she stirred and opened her green eyes. When she seen me she smiled and sat up.

"Morning gorgeous" I said.

She smiled and sat up rather quickly and next thing I knew she was crawling onto my lap straddling me. I chuckled and so did she and then placed a passionate kiss on my lips. I kissed back and ran my hands along her back and just held her. We talked and I had told her about someone killing Karen and David, Tyreese was in rage. How one of the fences came open and walkers came through. Rick and Carl took them all out. And now we were going to burn them. She wanted to go of course but I told her no and that even I wasn't going. She smiled and she stood up and I swear she looked good as new. I stood with her and put my hand on her shoulder.

"You sure you're okay to walk?" I asked.

"Daryl Im fine now let's get out of here" she told me with a smile.

I smiled as I watched her walk away. Damn she was a warrior my girl.

We walked out into the cell blocks and I followed Skylar. She went up behind Carl and hugged him he screamed with suprise for a second and then laughed finding out it was her. Rick hugged her glad to see she was alright. He had come back with a run with Carol before we got back, which got me.to thinking where was she. Skylar hugged him back,

"Thanks Rick. Im glad to be up and moving i couldn't take sitting on the bed anymore" She explained.

I walked up and Rick put a hand on my shoulder and thanked me for saving all the lives that we did. Carl went to go be with Judith for a little while and Rick,Daryl, and I started to talk about what we could do about the fence. Skylar suggested daily schedules of people who could kill them. But they would still herd up.

"Well we could-"

"Rick!"

We all turned to see Tyreese in the doorway motioning for us. We were walking through the tombs where Karen and David had been killed.

"I was looking for clues...and I found this."

Tyreese pointed his flashlights and Skylar covered her mouth and turned away. I ran a hand along her back and looked at what had been found. It was a rabbit pulled apart and nailed to a bored with all its insides hanging out.

"We got a phycopath living with us" Tryeese explained.

Rick sighed and looked at him seriously.

"Ty whoever did this did not kill Karen and David. Look we-"

Suddenly there was an blast and the whole prison shook and I grabbed onto Skylar to keep her from falling.

*Skylar*

What the fuck was that? We all ran oit joining up with Sasha, Maggie,Beth, Bob, and Carl. We stopped at the gates and my chest caught in my throat. There on the outside of the fences was the governor. He had a tank and guns and people. I looked over at Daryl and then Rick my chest heaving. We had to be prepared to fight.

"Rick come down here. Let's talk" the governor yelled.

Rick took a deep breath.

"It's not up to me! There's a counsel now!"

"Is Hershel on the counsel?" He asked.

Suddenly Hershel was brought out his hands bound. Beth and Maggie instantly became frantic and pressed up against the fence crying. Oh my god.

"What about Michonne?"

That's when Michonne was brought out and they were forced to kneel.

"I don't make decisions anymore!" Rick yelled to him.

The governor looked annoyed and not in the mood to talk. He meant business and he wasn't going to leave until he got his way.

"You do today. Now come down and let's have that talk."
