"But mom do I seriously have to stay here?" A cool breeze of autumn air hit my face as I dragged my luggage out of the Forks private little airport, "It's senior year don't you think I wanted to graduate with all my friends." Heading towards the parking garage I went on a mission to find my little beauty. Spotting my bright yellow sports car I finally heard my mother's reply, "Kenzie I would be there but mommy has to work and it's only for a little bit, trust me this will be good." Chewing my lips I nodded as if she could actually see me, "Was there something you weren't telling me?" I heard my mother's chuckle as she replied simply no.

Throwing my bags into the backseat I bid my mother a goodbye for now as I got into the drivers seat and punched in my location. My mother decided for some reason I needed a new scenery and shipped me off to live with her best friend's ex-husband and their 17 year old daughter. It's not like the daughter and I weren't friends, Bella and I grew up together until my mother got a great job offer in Canada and my father was nothing but supportive to move the family there. Except from what I knew from my mother and the simple social media- Bella was the same old girl I grew up with. While I had a whole rebirth as a new person.

Throwing my dyed red velvet hair into a messy bun I followed the instructions to arrive at the Swan household. The small town was adorable in a sense; thick forest surrounded the landscape and it was only a drive away from Seattle. Listening to some of my favourite songs I finally arrived at the house and was greeted by a couple standing by a beaten truck. Bella I assumed; stood beautifully next to a man who was deadly pale but none the less very attractive. I had to hand it to Bella, if that was her boyfriend she was doing something right and I needed to know what it was. "Kenny!" turning down my radio I was greeted by Charlie, Bella's father who was running towards my car in his chief of police uniform.

"Hey Uncle Charlie," I greeted as I rolled my window down and stopped the car in front of the old small home.

"Hi Kenzie," Charlie greeted as Bella and her male friend final took notice to my presence, "Park next to Bella's car don't worry about the lawn too much until we find you a finalized parking spot." I nodded and waited as Charlie told Bella and company to move out of the way to finally park my baby. I was glad that mom found someone who could take my car down from Toronto, ON.

Getting out of the car I went ahead and hugged Charlie as he mentioned he had to leave as soon as possible. "Kenzie you look good," Bella commented as she hugged me, I smiled, "You're looking good too Bell." Bella had the same old thick dark hair that wasn't too long but not short either. I felt weird standing between the two with my fiery hair and facial piercings. It wasn't much in my opinion; just two casual snakebite that were really small to even be noticed and a small gold hoop hanging from my button nose.

"When did you dye your hair?" Bella commented as she stepped close to pull it gently between her fingers as she undid my messy bun. Thankfully my hairstylist kept the soft texture I've always had with my hair even though red was a deadly hair colour to dye.

"Honestly I think it's been a year," I replied grabbing a piece of my hair, "But it'll only last a few more months.. It was never anything serious." I knew my roots were showing but since I had such dark hair to begin with it looked like an intense balayage. "And who is this?" I finally commented towards the awkwardly standing man. Bella looked like she forgot he was even there as she took a glance at him and smiled.

"Kenzie this is Edward my boyfriend, Edward this is Kenzie, we grew up together," Edward extended his hand towards me but I refused it.

"Learn to hug me, this hand shaking feels like I'm selling my soul," I replied as I embraced Edward in a side hug, but it really felt like I was hugging a piece of ice. I honestly didn't think it was that cold but maybe that's because I was a Northerner and the cold never bothered me.
