"I'm not listening to your orders. I am a free man." Replied Cobra.

"I thought that was your magic." Said Sting while Natsumi tried to hold back her laughter.

"We can't joke around right now! We are on a serious mission." Grunted Laxus, he wasn't happy he had to leave the guild in another's care. So he wanted to get this done as soon as possible so he could go back and make sure everything was in order.

Natsumi huffed. "Yeah right. We already know what happened to our dragons, I couldn't care less right now."

Cobra groaned, he hated teenagers so bad. Especially the sarcastic and hopeless ones. And guess with what types he just had to be stuck with right now!

"I bet 20 jewel it's a prank." Said Sting to Natsumi. "Deal. I think people just saw the shadow of a cloud or something."

The next day:

They split up and searched in their own direction for any clues that indicated there was a dragon in the area.

Natsumi was walking around, at first it seemed like any normal mountain. But after walking deeper into the area she noticed something was different. It smelled and felt different. She just couldn't tell what it was.

She froze when she heard a high pitched scream. Without any hesitation she ran towards the sound, even when she noticed the scent and feeling where getting stronger and stronger. It was unbearable, she wanted to turn around and leave but someone needed her help.

So she kept going.

Cobra held his hands over his ears. All of the sudden all kinds of sounds started going through his ears. It was hurting him so bad he didn't even notice where he was running to, he just wanted to get away from these noises. It hurts so badly!

Wendy didn't know what was going on here. She had a strong feeling she had to walk more and more, further away from the camp.

But it wasn't right. So instead she searched for a place where she could ask advice from souls by using Milky Way. But there weren't any. Not even that of an animal. Something wasn't right here. She had to get back and find the others.

She turned around and headed to the camp, ignoring everything that made her want to go the other direction. She hoped the others headed back to.

Wendy waited at the camp, everyone except for Natsumi, Sting and Cobra was there as well. "We've been waiting for hours! What if something happened?" She said.

And right then, Cobra appeared on the camp. He was out of breath and looked like he was running the whole day. "It-huff-has finally-huff huff-stopped." He let his hands carefully drop from his ears as if he was afraid something would just rip them of.

"What the hell happened to you?" Said Gajeel.

Wendy helped Cobra sit down and healed the scratches and bruises he got. "This place... I doubt it was a dragon they saw. I can hear it."

"What do you mean?" Asked Rogue, he was getting worried about the youngest two. Not to mention the parents of a certain teenager would skin him alive if anything happened to him.

"This whole place is cursed. It's like an inner circle and an outer circle. In the outer circle the course will draw us towards the inner circle. We've been walking in the outer circle but noticed in time something was wrong. I could hear the curse and managed to find my way back." He said while rubbing his ear.

"I didn't feel anything." Said Laxus.

"That's because you haven't been walking in any of the circles genius. You, Rogue and Gajeel have been walking away from them."

"What's in the inner circle?" Asked Wendy worriedly.

Cobra shook his head. "God knows what. But if the curse was that bad outside, who knows how bad it is once you get into the inner circle."

"But what if Natsu and Sting are there! We have to get them!" Said Wendy. She was NOT willing to lose her friend again!

"All we can do is wait. If they find each other they can find a way out. But, we can try to lift the curse."

What is it with this place! It's as if it makes all the scariest things from stories become real.

Sting was running from. Well. Whatever that thing was. He wasn't even sure if it was real. He just wanted to have as much distance as possible between them.

He stopped to catch his breath. This is ridiculous, he keeps running into the same direction towards camp. He should have been there by now. But instead nothing has changed. In fact it seemed like there were more trees, as if he was running deeper into a forest.

"Why aren't you here? I need you!"

Natsumi kept running, she had tears in her eyes. She has to be faster and save him! "I'm coming! Yuu!"

"You said you would be here! Why did you leave me?!"

"I didn't! I'm almost there Yuu! I'm almost-"

Natsumi ran into a clearing where the sounds the sounds came from, but there was nothing. "Yuu?!"

"You're not supposed to be here."

Who is that?!

"You died, and yet here you are."

"Stop..." Natsumi was shaking. What's happening? Where is Yuu? Whose voice is that?

"STOP!"

Sting turned towards the noise. "Natsumi!"

"STOP IT! STOP!"

He needs to get there fast. She sounds so distressed!

"Stop... please... I'm begging you... just... stop."

"Natsumi!"

"No... stop..."

"Natsumi! Snap out of it!"

She felt something on her shoulders. "Go away!" She screamed and punched the person in front of her with the good old. Fire dragon's iron fist.

"Fuck. You've gotten stronger."

"Sting?" Natsumi looked up to see Sting curled up in pain. "You could have at least tried to hit me somewhere else."

She gave him a small slap on his arm. "This is serious you idiot so stop joking!"

"Alright alright." He grunted. "How do we get out of here?"

"I don't know." Natsumi hissed. She had a giant headache after getting out of the trance she was in. at least she was herself again. So what would a Dragneel do in this situation? "We could try to destroy it." She said calmly.

Short A/N: The reason the scary stuff isn't happening anymore is because they have each other to snap out of it. Now back to the story.

They have literally tried everything! Every move they had is useless. "It's a curse." Said Natsumi. "Yeah, but it also explains the things people saw. It's a hallucination curse." Replied Sting.

Natsumi groaned. "I feel so useless now we can't use our magic!"

"I think we just have to lift the curse and end this." Said Sting.

"So we just have to head deeper and destroy whatever caused this?"

Both of them got a grin. "Yosh! Let's do this!"

"This, is what caused everything to go crazy?" Sting said with disappointment.

"I was hoping we had to fight a monster or something. Not a tree." Said Natsumi. "Let's burn the stupid thing and go home already. I want to punch the stupid council for sending us out here.
