Chapter 6: How To Save A Life

Screams could be heard throughout the ship. A few Mages even started crying for their one and only captain. But Lucy could only stare in true terror at the man in front of her. Sure, they only talked once and that was an argument, but Lucy could sense something about him.

Some crew members of Fairy Tail tried to get up to help their beloved captain, but failed miserably and ended up face planting on the wooded ground. Finally, Lucy reacted to the scene before them.

She turned around quickly, eyes seething with fury. "Stay down! We don't want anymore people getting hurt. All of you need to get out of here this instance and take Natsu with you," Lucy commanded. When the Mages only stared at her, she could feel the anger inside her bubble some more. "Now!".

The Fairy Tail crew got up quickly, wincing and groaning in the process. "Plue!" Lucy yelled. And in a flash, Plue was standing right in front of her. "Take Natsu back to the ship." Plue, knowing that arguing is not going to do anything, grabbed Natsu and jumped in the water while some flew away carrying others.

No one was left except Lucy and the four people who caused the scene of horror. Wondering where are the Raven Tail members? Lets just say they're overboard.

"Teme....." Lucy muttered. Her anger kept bubbling inside of her, getting ready to come out in any second. "Looks like your captain is down Blondie~" The red haired girl said, the blood of Natsu dripping from her hair, blending in with her hair color.

"Nice job Flare." Lucy heard the middle man say. Their faces were hidden inside their cloaks, to which adds to Lucy's frustration.

The skilled girl got into a fighting stance. "Hehe, looks like you're going to fight her Flare," Lucy could feel the smirk on the bastards' face.

Flare nodded. "Hai, Ivan." Suddenly, the left cloaked figure whispered to Ivan, the middle one, as Lucy figured. She could hear Ivan snicker evilly.

The Unknown Avatar raised her brow, becoming suspicious. Flare, not noticing the snickers, jumped at Lucy.

The Blonde quickly dodged and grabbed a hold on a sword that was laying on the floor.

And thus, the fighting scene commenced.

Flare shot a load of her red hair at Lucy, "Wolf Fang!" A wad of red hair that was shape as a wolf with fire surrounding it lunged at the Avatar. Lucy acted fast and dodged. When the red hair came in front of her as she dodged, she swung her sword.

The sword contacted with the fire and hair making a huge impact. The blonde secretly bended the fire and shot it towards Flare. The Raven Tail girl could only stare in confusion and shock as the fire ball came towards her.

She would've dodged just in time if she weren't staring at the attack. Smoke covered the area making the blonde blind. Bad news is that fire started flickering on the deck. Good news is that it's not spreading.

That's when red hair started wrapping around her legs, arms, and mouth from under the ship.

"Got you Blondie~" Flare sang. The captive female's eyes widen in shock. As the smoke cleared, Flare stood there standing with only a minimum number of scratches.

But that's not what made her go into a state of shock.

It was that Ivan and his crew disappeared. No trace of them anywhere. How could they abandon their own comrade? Did they leave her without a care? They're really a scum.

The blonde struggled desperately, not noticing one particular thing that was coming in a few moments.

"Stop struggling because if you don't, my team and I will hurt you and your fairies~" The red head warned.

She then starts laughing, already claiming victory.

BOOM!

The front deck explodes out of no where. New fire started combining with the fire before, already making its way up to the flag pole and bottom deck.

"H-Huh?!" Flare cried out in surprise, dropping Lucy by returning her hair back. She turned around, now noticing the missing gang.

Lucy grunted when she made contact with the floor. Face first. She lifted herself up, eyeing the spreading wildfire.

"I-Ivan! Minna! Where are you!?" The blonde could hear the faint shouts from Flare.

The Avatar waited a couple of seconds in silence. That's when she heard a familiar scream a few yards away from her.

Flare's scream.

Lucy jumped into a sprint, following and listening to the screams of pain.

She Fire Bended the fire out of the way. That's when she saw it.

Flare's body was under the flag pole, which was burning.
"Help me!" Flare screamed, burn marks appearing on her stomach and chest.

"Don't worry! I'll get you out of there!" Lucy started bending the fire away from the pole, enough to get Flare's body from turning to ash. She could feel her energy drain from her body. Fighting with Raven Tail and Flare is pretty tiring.

BOOM!

Another bomb went off. This time right in front of them.

Shit.....

More fire formed around them. Of course, Lucy would just bend them out of the way with the flick of her wrist, but she has no energy left.

Damn fairies..... Lucy thought. She gave them a nice hand with helping them with Raven Tail and this is how they repay her? Just standing there, watching her near death scene? Because Lucy knows that their ship is still there.

Lucy walked to where Flare was as best as she could. It's not her fault that she's about to pass out from exhaustion.

The blonde headed girl kicked the wooded pole, which barely made any effort. So, in the name of Mavis that she will not die, Lucy used her Earth Bending to knock the pole away.

Flare's eyes widened.
"W-Wha....!" But she couldn't finish the rest of her explanation. Because Lucy was already lifting her up, struggling to do so. Flare helped her by lifting herself up also (For being the grateful person she is).

The blonde's right eye was shut in pain. Every step she took fire was splitting in half just for them to go across. The two females grunted, not having the feeling of their body's anymore.

At last, when they were away from the nearest fire, Lucy whistled. A couple of seconds passed by and Plue was under their feet.

"L-Lets go, P-Plue," Lucy managed to say but was easily heard from her furred pet. The red head just lied on Plue's back, not saying anything. She was still in the state of shock that her own guild abandoned her. How could they?

Plue made it to the now recovered deck of Fairy Tail, carefully setting Lucy and Flare on the wooded floor.

Lucy could her the gasps of familiar voices. Especially one.

Warm and strong hands started carrying her. She only could make out the soft voice of someone before becoming one with the dark.

"Don't worry," It was a guy alright. "I'll take care of you."

Heyyyyyy....... Sorry! So sorry for the long wait! Im either just too lazy or I'm busy during school. Ideas just kept coming up in my mind and I'm just like 'Wut'. I'm getting into this story now tho, so I'm going to update more often. And guess what! Christmas Break is tomorrow after school. Bonus for me because I have early release! Haha suckers XD!
