The gaping hole in my heart was finally beginning to close. With each passing day it got smaller and smaller and smaller. I was eating properly again, crying less and laughing more. Lu seems to think that the visit to Drake's grave helped me. Drake. That was the first time I have said his name without breaking down since...since he died. And it feels good. It reminds me that he was real, that's we had had 25 amazing years together and that he had loved me. I was currently on my way to finally purchase a microwave. I told Lu that I would get it as I was the one going to use it.

I walked down the busy street and stopped. I looked at the road. That's where it happened. Cars now went up and down it, oblivious to the fact that my soul mate had been ripped away from me on that exact spot. However, remembering this didn't make me feel sad or angry or even guilty. I just felt...at peace. Like I knew that he was still there. On that road. Still with me. Without another thought I resumed walking, a smile plastered on my face.

After my shopping I decided to get something to drink as I was parched. I walked, not exactly knowing where I was going. I found myself in front of Make A Shake. Smiling I pushed the door open and went in. Drink in hand I decided to sit at one of the table in order to rest my feet. I took my phone out my bag and flicked through it, not looking for anything in particular. A movement in front of me made me look up. A tall and slender woman stood in front of me. She had bright blue hair, honestly her hair was blue, and her big eyes matched her hair. She was dressed in business attire with a blue shirt inside. Wow. She must like blue. She just stood there and stared at me. "Err. Can I help you?" I asked. No reply. "Are you lost?" I tried again. Still no reply. I was getting a bit creeped out now so I went to stand and leave when she finally spoke. "Mrs Dawson" I immediately looked at her again. How did she now my name. "How do you know my name?" I asked. "I'm agent O'Niel" she replied ignoring my question. "Oook. Good to know" I said still attempting to leave. "We're investigating your husbands death." O'Niel said. "My husbands death? Why are you doing that?" I asked starting to feel angry now. "Because we believe that he was murdered." She stated without blinking an eye. Murdered? "No he wasn't. He was in an accident." My eyes were watering now. "No Miss. He was killed and the people that did it are still out there." She spoke. "Why are you telling me this? Why now? It's been more than a year since he passed and you're only just coming now? And who is this 'we' you keep referring to?" My voice was slightly raised now. "None of that's important right now but I'm gonna need you to come with me." She said, her voice surprisingly soft and calm considering that I was almost shouting. "Come with you? I'm not going anywhere with you. Stay away from me." With that I left and didn't look back. That was my first encounter with the blue haired woman.

My second encounter came 5 weeks later. I had chosen to completely forget the first encounter, brushing it off as someone trying to mess with me. So I carried on as normal with my life. Big mistake. I was in the shopping mall with Lu getting a dress for mum and dad's 40th. "How about this?" Lu asked holding up a blue lacy dress. "For me or you?" I questioned. "You of course" she replied. I shook my head slowly. "I don't think so. I'm pretty sure you can see you butt from how short it is. We're going to be surrounded by friends and families. I don't really feel like showing off what my mama gave me." I said the last part with a teasing smile on my face. "Well if you've got it, flaunt it." Lu replied simply, swaying her hips side to side. This caused me to laugh. Loud. A group of men in the other isle turned our way, an amusing look on their face. One of them smiles at me and I very visibly blush. "You're blushing!!" Lu gasps, coming really close to me. "Am not" I argue. "Are too" she counteracted. "Louise Emily Fletcher, do not talk about things you don't know about" I scolded, trying to seem mad which was soon ruined by the fact I smiled.

I looked behind me and that guy was still staring at me. I immediately turn back around and try to focus my attention on the shoe section near the back of the store. Something catches my eye, sadly it wasn't a shoe. Not even close. It was her. O'Niel. The blue haired woman. She was staring at me and I could tell by her stance that it wasn't the first time. She's been following me. I told Lu that I was going to the toilets and she went into the changing room, both her hands full of different outfits. Fuelled by anger I marched over to her. "Why are you following me?" She looked at me for a while before speaking. "I wasn't." I eyes her up and down. She was dressed in the same business suit, except this time it was navy with a white shirt. "Then what are you doing here" I spat. "Your husband was murdered, Miss Dawson and the more time I spend here talking to you the longer the culprits have to get away!" She matched my tone. "Yes my husband is dead but he wasn't murdered. I was there with him. The whole time" I corrected. "The whole time?" she dared.

But it was posed more as a question. I paused for a bit. "Well yeah. I...I was in the ambulance and in the hospital" I insisted. "But did you see him after that? I mean did you see his body?" She hissed. "No. But the doctor advised against it" I said still holding strong. I don't know why I was still speaking to this lady. All she said made no sense. But something drew me to her. Something unknown and...dark. "Do you know why he did that?" She didn't wait for my reply. "Because miss Dawson, he's not dead. Your husband is alive!" I stood there frozen. No he wasn't. I watched him die. He was with me the whole time. I went to say this but she continued. "Think about it. Why wouldn't they let you see your husband? If he was really dead. I mean it's not like you'd be disturbing him." I stayed silent. Which gave her the permission to carry on. "And what about at the funeral? Did you see him then? His dead body? No" she answered her own question. "I'm telling you Suzan..." That was the first time she used my first name. "...your husband is still alive!"

I must have fainted then because when I woke up Lu's concerned face loomed over me. "Oh my goodness, Sue. You scared me." She helped me to a sitting position. When my vision cleared up I noticed that a man was stood next to Lu. Probably the manger. "How do you feel?" Lu asked. "Ok. What happened?" I responded. "I came out of the changing rooms and you were on the floor. You must have fainted." She carried on. I just nodded. "You were out for 10 minutes." She finished. "Sorry. I'm fine now." I stood up with Lu's support. I suddenly remembered what had led to my untimely demise. I searched the store but the blue haired woman wasn't there anymore. She was gone.
