I woke up to the sound of my father calling my name. "Athena." He said as he gently shook me. My eyes fluttered open and I sat up. My parents were both smiling, I frowned. This was no laughing matter, it was more of a nightmare come true. "They saved her, Athena. It's just that she fell into a coma." he said. My eyes widened and a smile was brought to my face as well, despite the coma she was still alive. I realized not many families can experience what I felt today, knowing that a loved one has survived. Feeling determined, I asked my father for his laptop, nodding he took out his laptop from its case and I started type. If you must know, I was making a website, a foundation for cancer patients to be exact. It was called the Rose Foundation, a site where you can donate for cancer patients just like my sister. Realizing that my sister was the only real family I had, I wanted to do something special just for her and this was my way of a special thing. As I finished I walked back into the room, laptop in hand, and walked towards my sister. I take a chair and sit beside her, watching her. She was peacefully sleeping, not giving a care in the world because nothing was gonna happen.

Taking a deep breath I grabbed her hand and placed the computer on the table beside her bed.

"Look sis." I smiled, it felt right to call her sis. "We may not know each other that well, but I do know one thing for sure. That you are my sister and nothing going to change that. " I said with more confidence. "Now I feel it is my responsibility to do something, to help you get better." I felt the determination coursing through my veins, this was my time to show that I cared. Looking back at the opened laptop, I look at the website that I just made and reached out to close it. Even though my sister was in a coma, I truly felt that she could hear me and I was hoping she did because I might not be able to repeat it without feeling tears coming up. Laying my head down on the bed, I wondered when she was going to wake up from the coma. I was about to take a nap when I felt a hand on my head. Looking up I saw my sister, smiling at me. Smiling back I leaned towards her and gave her a big hug. She was awake and she was alright, that was the only thing that mattered now.
