It's 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Monday. I always wait at this very train station every afternoon to ride the last trip destination it takes. The last bullet train for this afternoon has still not yet arrived, so I sit quietly at the outside bench as I patiently wait.

To pass time, I took out a book from my bag and began reading. At the corner of my eye, I saw a young boy of my age, who sat at the other end of the bench I was also seated. Usually, the train I take rarely has another passenger aside from me. Well, it's not really that bad to have company.

I couldn't help but look at him. I noticed that his eyes were closed. He must be sleeping, with his head rested at the wall behind him. But, he snores so loud. I can't concentrate. So, I looked around and saw a pebble. I picked it up, and aimed for his shoulder, but accidentally when he moved, his

cheek got hit instead. He jumped in surprise from the bench.

I immediately averted my eyes, and tried to cover my chuckles so he wouldn't find out. I can't help it! It was so funny for me! I guessed he must have seen my shoulders moving since he looked at me.

I took a peek at his face while I was covering my mouth for possible outburst.

"Pfft.... A-Are you okay?" I asked him, innocently.

"I'm fine," he sat back and this time, he didn't sleep.

Poor boy. He must be traumatized. I didn't mean to scare him, but it just so happened.

Now that I notice it, he's not studying at the same school as I am.

No wonder I'm not acquainted with him.

When the train arrived, I sat near at the door, while he sat opposite me, at the farthest end to the right.

What's his problem? I don't bite. After a while, he continued his

interrupted sleep from a while ago. He leaned his head on the window, and as the train encountered minor bumps along the way, his head would slide off to the side. He'd adjust more to keep it in place.

Really. He's quite a handful.

When the train arrived, he was still asleep. I approached him and tried to knock on the window to wake him up. He didn't seem to hear. I tapped the window this time, and he awakened.

"We have arrived, sleeping beauty," I told him as I walked to the door.

"Are you new around here?" I asked him once we got outside.

"Yes. We just moved here a couple of days ago," he answered.

"So, I'm headed this way," I said as I pointed the other street.

"Oh, well. Goodbye," he waved at me before taking his leave.

The next day, as soon as I got inside the train, I saw the boy from yesterday, running towards the bullet train to catch up. The doors were about to close, but I held it open for him.

"Thanks," he said as he got inside.

"You should wake up early next time," I reminded him.

It was awfully crowded inside, so both of us had to stand up and hold onto the strap at the ceiling.

But I couldn't, since I was not that tall, and he happened to be very tall, so he was able to hold on for support. I just had to lean my back on the doors. Whenever the train pauses, I couldn't help but look for something to hold on to prevent myself from eating the floor.
