4) I Thought I Made A Friend
After dinner I had made a beeline for my room. I grabbed a book and a towel from the linen closet and hopped in the tub turning on the jets. After about fifteen minutes I had already turned off the jets because I didn’t like them. I was startled to hear a knock on the door.
“Sam? Are you okay? You left dinner looking sick.” Tyson said through the door. “Can I come in?”
“Ya, sure.” I said back grateful for the cover of bubbles.
I watched him sit down on the counter after shutting the door behind him.
“This must be weird for you.” he said, looking around. “I promise we aren’t all that bad we’re just as nervous as you. We don’t want to make this hard for you.” he finished looking at me apologetically.
I had laid my book on the floor under my towel by now.
“Oh, loosen up!” I said and flung some water at him, laughing. “So what if I don’t know any of you? I don’t care. I can get used to it. And a new school? So what it’s only for three weeks so I’ll be fine. I think you are more worried about this than I am. But I will admit that dinner was scary. I mean you were all looking at me! That was weird.”
The whole time I was saying that he was looking at me like I was crazy.
“What?” l asked.
“l have had a girlfriend for over two years and not once ever has she thrown water at me. Or done anything even kind of fun with me.”
“Oh, sorry.” I said feeling bad.
“What for? I’ve had more fun with you in these ten minutes or so, than I’ve ever had with Jenna. Things might have to change.” He said grinning. “In fact lets have some more fun.” And he got up off the counter and dunked me.
I mean full on dunked me.
“Ah!” I yelled spluttering and coughing. “What was that for?” I asked and threw more water at him.
He laughed. Then there was another knock on the door,
“Ty Jenna is at the door!” Yelled the twins.
“I better go.” he said and grabbed my towel, drying off with it.
“Hey! You owe me a fresh towel!” I said faking anger.
“Zach! Give me a clean towel. And a clean shirt.” Said Ty hitting the door. Immediately a fresh towel and T-Shirt were stuck into the bathroom. Ty stripped off his shirt and I looked away nervous.
“Well here’s your towel.” He said and left.
“Oh my god,” I whispered to myself. “What did I do?”
Tyson’s P.O.V.
I knocked on the door. I wasn’t sure if she wanted to talk but it was worth a try. The girl was amazing. I mean, sure she looked uncomfortable, but who wouldn’t after walking into a house full of boys? She acted cool a dinner though even if we were all looking at her. But what’s not to look at? Her hair is beautiful and she is so small she is doll-like. She was very toned, too. I could see that much through her form fitting tank. She dressed right too. She wasn’t slutty like my girlfriend or most other girls at my school. But she definitely had an attitude. I just hoped she would talk to me.
“Sam? Are you okay? You left dinner looking sick.”I said.
Silence. “Can I come in?”
“Ya, sure.” was her reply. I walked in, shut the door behind me and sat down on the counter.
