1. Explore the website first if you are new to it or if there are new upgrades done to the website.

This helps you know the website so you don't have to ask how to do this or that, as it tends to annoy some of your readers and give hurtful comments. (Happened to me but I deleted the a/n chapter)

2. Install a word document app in your iPad, iPhone, or any touch screen device. If on a computer or laptop make sure that it's Microsoft word or word pad (whichever you prefer).

This way you can make a draft of your story and save them there and you can copy and paste them on wattpad without the worry of it being cut to a shorter length, if this does happen you can re copy it again from the word app. (This happened to me and I grew frustrated on a website and started doing this before publishing it, trust me it works)

3. If you are going to write a story plan it out thoroughly, write it on a notebook, if you have some changes you can just re write it in the notebook.

This way you can avoid editing and re editing your story and confuse your readers. Trust me if you keep on editing and re editing your story they are gonna get annoyed and stop reading your story and tell others not to read it altogether. (This happened on an author but I forgot the pen name, s/he kept editing and re editing their story that I and the other readers that they had got extremely pissed and stopped reading their story. The other readers though they didn't just stop reading the said author's story, they stopped others from doing so too.)

4. Authors even amateurs or beginners gets ideas on all places on all times, so bring a notebook (big or small), or your phone or iPad.

This way you can write your ideas when they strike you so you can't forget it and be frustrated with yourself. Because ideas can strike on the most unusual times and unusual places. (Also happened to me one time and I happened to have my phone with me then so I wrote it out)

5. Dreams can also be a source of ideas for your stories, so if you happened to have a dream even if it is short write in down on your notebook of ideas.

No matter how weird your dream can be write it down still and share it with others. Some may hate it or say that your story's ridiculous just ignore those because there are those that will think it good or funny. Dreams often represent what you sometimes feel but fail to express it physically or verbally, or a forgotten memory of an event, it may sometimes be a forgotten idea that can sometimes be mixed up with a desire.

6. Fix your grammar or spelling when making a story. Always have a dictionary or translator in your phone as they prove useful.

This is where readers often become critics when it comes to grammar and/or spelling. As wrong grammar and/or spelling can lead to misunderstanding your storyline or sentence, and misunderstanding leads to confusion and so forth. Remember a just a single word and/or letter can make a difference to the whole story.
