This day finally came, the day I would be leaving my home it's been 12 years I have been living in Utah and I'm finally leaving.I didn't expect any of this would happen to me especially how it all came to happen I mean I'm just a 12 year old girl named Nicole I don't know how any of this came to be but, I'm so glad I get to start over again in a new place, new people, new culture, new adventures , memories and experiences that are waiting for me.
After weeks of moving out of my house selling everything,leaving many memories, and leaving many freinds I started thinking ¿Would people forget about me? ¿Will they ever talk to me again? ¿Will I make new freinds? All of these questions came to my head as I was loading the car with my luggage.
I could be anybody, I could be who ever I want to be , I have a chance to start over again from the beging. That means I can't mess up again I have one shot to make things right.
"Are you ready?" I heard my aunt say interrupting me from my thoughts.
"Ready as I will ever be"
"Alright make sure your not forgetting anything and just head in the car"
I smiled and headed inside the house one last time, I can't believe I'm leaving... And I was actually pretty excited but also scared at the same time, I was excited to experience something new but scared to mess up. As I looked around the house and saw I wasn't missing anything I grabbed my purse and headed out the door, I stepped in the car and put my headphones on while staring outside the window . I made sure I paid extra attention to every detail including the streets ,the sights , the people outside because I knew I wouldn't see this view in a long time.
As we got to the airport I found everything so unreal, I've been plannig this trip for such a long time and it's finally happening, I'm finally saying goodbye. I grabbed my luggage and turned to my aunt hugged her one last time and whispered to her " I'm always here, we've been through so much already, everything will be alright no matter what happens ok?"
"I love you, take care"
"I will " I smiled at her and looked at my phone, "my flight leaves en 2 hours I better go"
My vision was getting blurry by the second, she looked at me and hugged me "you'll be alright, I'm always here for you"
As a tear fell down, I smiled and said " I love you too, I'll be back before you know it, stay strong bye"
As I headed to security a man asked for my passport I tried to talk but a lump in my throat got in the way. "Excuse me miss are you alright?"
"Yes sir sorry, just have a sore throat" he looked satisfied with my anwser and smiled " alright have a nice flight hope you fell better"
I smiled back " thank you have a nice day."
I have an hour before I had to leave for my flight so I decided to get some breakfast because I was starving, I headed to Starbucks and ordered a pumpkin spice latte with a slice of some lemon cake,And decided to go back to wait for my flight.
*20 minutes later*
I finished my breakfast when the speaker called my flight, I smiled and stood up grabbing my luggage I walked over to go into the plain.
Entering the plain was full of people and very little space I kinda forgot how traveling was, it took a while to find my seat but was also lucky it was right next to the aisle so I could go to the bathroom easily. Once the plain started I ignored everything, and everyone around me and tuned out in my own thoughts and music, and quickly fell asleep.
