Wrong Decision

I'm sorry

The gate drops to the ground trapping the brothers inside,

 I realise something bad is about to happen.

With all their might they turn the winch to lift the gate,

There efforts are in vain,

'One of us has to stay' he says

And thus begins one of the hardest choices of my life,

Time stands still as I weigh up both sides,

One is a natural leader,

The other a skilled fighter, 

In a moment of panic I make a rash decision,

'Go!' He yells unknowing to his fate,

Fighting his way out I try to convince myself all will be ok,

BANG the first bolt hits,

He snaps it out with ease,

Yelling in pain the blade pierces his side,

BANG the second hits his throat,

Yet he fights on,

Barely,

The struggle continues until he slumps to the ground,

Coughing up blood he lies helpless,

Letting out one final groan his muscles relax and his eyes close,

Making me realise

I fucked up.
