Prologue:
In the car, my radio was blasting loudly. My eyes stared at the red light until it turned green, and I put my food on the gas petal. Many lights were stopping me from getting to school on time, and that wouldn't look great on my record. It's the first day of school, and I don't want to blow it.
I saw a black range river beside me. The windows were tinted, making thoughts spin inside my head about the mysterious truck. I sneezed, and my eyes closed just a second. As I opened them, I caught a glimpse of the range rover cutting me off.
I rolled my eyes. I didn't have time for this! I sped up a bit, and switched lanes. The truck was now beside me.
It was hot out, considering summer just ended. I unrolled the window, and surprisingly, the range rovers windows weren't as much tinted! I was just able to see another pair of eyes looking at me, and I flipped the driver off. A boy that looked my age unrolled the window too, smirking.
He had dark brown curls, and a light green eye color.
"Don't be like that," He spoke up.
I glared at him, and you could almost tell I was giving him a 'Shut the fuck up' look. My eyes flicked back to the road as I drove ahead, taking a shortcut to school. The driver was no longer in my sight as I turned. It was 6:54 AM, so I had 6 minutes to get to my first class.
As soon as I parked my car in the parking lot, I jumped out and jogged up to the door. I swung open the school door and walked quickly to English. I turned the knob, and walked in. I was almost late, but I had just made it.
I gave a smile to my new teacher and found a seat. Everyone was talking for the last 3 minutes, except me. I was on my phone. I logged into twitter and checked my followers. 25 new friend requests. I said yes to every one of them, and I had 462 followers in all.
"Alright everyone. I'm Mrs. Higgin-"
The teacher stopped talking. I kept scrolling on twitter, and I heard the door open.
"Your late," My teacher said, and I heard the tap of her shoes.
"Sorry, Ma'm." I heard the same voice as I heard before.
I snapped my head up and saw the same boy that cut me off.
"Why're you late?" The teacher asked.
"Uh, well..." He started.
"He was too busy cutting me off on the road." I answered for him.
His eyes connected with mine and he smirked.
The teacher nodded at him to take a seat.
He sat in the seat beside me and I groaned, giving him a glare as I opened my textbook.
"Okay, class, I'm Mrs. Higgins and I will be your English teacher this year. Now, I'm going to need to take attendance."
The whole class nodded and she continued.
"Annabeth?"
"Here!" A girls hand shot up in the air. She had blonde curly hair and wore a simple outfit, skinny jeans and a Hollister jacket.
She sat behind me and I gave her a quick smile, receiving one back.
"Mark?"
"Here.." A boy said, obviously annoyed.
"Raymond?"
"Over here." Another boy said.
"Harry?"
"Here.... Mrs. Higgins." Said the boy that had cut me off.
Girls 'aww' and 'ooh' quietly and I make a gross face.
"Lacey?"
"Present!" A slutty looking girl with black long hair and a lot of cleavage showing said cheerfully.
I groaned a bit and Harry started laughing a lot. Lacey looked at him and have a wink, and I started coughing and laughing!
"Ivy?"
"Here..." I said a bit quietly. Harry smirked and I rolled my eyes, what a bastard.
Once Mrs. Higgins finished calling attendance she paired us with partners.
"Molly and Zachary, Lacey and Mark, Annabeth and Riley, Raymond and Matthew, Harry and Ivy, Ariana and Melina, Matthew and Ryan."
I nearly choked after she called partners. I glanced at Harry who was smiling like an idiot. I smacked my face, and Mrs. Higgins spoke again.
