Once upon a time there was a princess who fell in love with a handsome prince.

She often saw him out and about, riding around in his fine car, surrounded by laughing friends, dressed in really cool clothes, going to all the best places, having a great time.

Every time she saw him, she thought her heart would burst. She loved him so much.

But the prince wasn't in love with her. Not one little bit. In fact, he didn't seem to notice she existed.

This made the princess very unhappy.

One day stood in front of her magic mirror and burst into tears.

'Mirror, mirror, on the wall, tell me how I can win my heart's desire.'

The mirror replied.

'Little princess, I can answer your question. But it may require hard work on your part.'

'I'll do anything, anything,' promised the princess. 'I'm not afraid of hard work.'

'Tell me what you want. What is your heart's desire?'

'I want to be happy. I want to be loved. I want the prince to notice me.'

The mirror huffed and puffed.

'That's three different things.'

And the little princess thought carefully before she replied...
