~≈Two Weeks Later≈~"So no security breeches at all?" I asked Burnett.
"Nobody. Except a human male trying to visit his girlfriend. And fifteen miles away, there was another vampire abduction."
I sighed, "Damn. I hate this, but I am clear to go out of campus, right?"
"No. There was another vampire taken. I don't need you just going into town and then you get killed."
"I'll take Demetri with me."
"He's not enough," Burnett sat down at his desk.I looked at Rose's desk. She was talking with human parents that had a son that was a warlock. She half smiled at me. "Zoey, come over here."
I got up and walked over to her. I looked at the human parents. "Hello," I smiled tightly.
"This girl right here is one of my most responsible children here at Shadow Creek. She will escort your son anywhere he needs to go. She'll watch him and make sure he is in safe keeping," Rose explained.
I tried not to snort. I had some problems of my own. I was being taken prisoner in my own safe place.
The mother stared at my eyes in shock and astonishment. "Are you one of those dog things?" She asked.
I smirked and stared at Burnett. He turned to the woman. "Um ma'am, please call us lycanthropes or werewolves. It is most polite to us."
The woman flushed, "Oh I'm so sorry."
"Its okay," Rose smiled tightly.
The man looked at me, "So you're a werecat? I've heard of those."
"They're extinct sir," Rose said, "They were too dangerous. The lycans here though aren't dangerous."
I bared my fangs. "I'm a vampire. I suck blood from human's necks for a living," I laughed.
The woman fainted instantly and the man looked so frightened. His heartbeat sped up and his blood rushed through his veins faster. I saw a vein jump in his neck. My fangs throbbed. I haven't had blood in a while. Demetri was patrolling around the gates every single day for two friggin' weeks. "Vampires can smell fear sir."
"Zoey!" Rose scowled. "Stop it this is very hard for humans to discover that their child is not human."
"I wouldn't know since my parents are dead," I shrugged.
The man's fear slipped away once I retreated my fangs and the woman came about quickly. She stared at me. "You! You're a v-vampire!"
I nodded. "In the flesh." I sat on Rose's desk.
"Well we should bring your son in so we can talk to him," Rose stood up. "Burnett can you please get Cole?"
"Sure." Burnett stood up and walked outside. He came in again with Cole behind him. He looked seventeen or sixteen and his hair was in a mowhawk. A purple mowhawk. His eyes were a dark blue and they were wide with a huge smile on his face.
I smiled fangs and all. "Hi Cole."
His eyes grew wide. "What are you!?"
"Vampire and you're a warlock, yes?"
He nodded. "This is so cool!"
"Well I think a warlock should escort him. Not a vampire. She might take his blood," The mother said.
