The leaves were just changing, the wind was picking up... I decided to take the girls inside since it was getting chilly. Alice had just pulled in the drive way as we were walking back to the house. Faith ran up and hugged her mother, like usual days. Leila on the other hand slowly dragged on over to her mother... She didn't get much sleep last night due to her late dreaming. I kissed Alice and carried the girls inside. As normal Alice started to make dinner, but the night seemed... strange. I walked into the bedroom and you could practically feel the negativity in the room. I opened up the window thinking that may be the problem but it seemed at more negativty came in. The house was silent and still, I looked went to walk into the living room when I heard a strange noise behind me. When I turned to see what it was... nothing was there "aye, it's probably just the wind" I thought to myself. I walked to the living room and the girls were sitting there drawing with their favorite pack of colored pencils, unbothered by the noice. I felt a cold wind rush past me and the door blew open. "That wind is getting harsh, might want to shut the windows and tighten up the door love" called Alice from the kitchen. Alices, sweet calming voice always soothed my nerves. I went to te kitchen to see what she was cooking and I snuck up behind her rubbing her belly I knelt down to her stomach and talked to it softly "Hi baby, hello Patience... it's your daddy and I love you verryy much" I leaned in and planted a soft kiss on her tummy. Then I slowly stood up to where I was leaning into Alice and I softly planted a kiss upon her small, pink lips. Then all of a sudden... "BOOM CRACK CRACK" Rumbles of thunder filled the house, flashes of lightning had been striking with amazing flashes filling the house. I ran to make sure the girls were all right and Alice shut off the stove and followed me in, Faith was trying to comfort Leila even with tears streaming down both of their faces. Alice walked over and picked both of them up and tried to comfort them. I wrapped my arms around Alices waist to support her, so she wouldn't fall to the ground. Then, the lights went out, it was pitch dark. Faith had now started crying again, I grabbed a flashlight and sat with them on the couch, then after about 10 minutes of darkness the lights turned back on. I turned on the t.v and we all just tried to calm ourselves down after what had happened... little do they know... the noises.
