∆ Clock Strikes Five

"What happened to Reiji and Shuu?" I questioned as soon as I've placed dinners on everyone's plate excluding Reiji and Shuu because they were nowhere to be found. My leg had healed completely thanks to Ayato so Raito insisted on me making dinner.

"Out of action." Raito answered simply.

"Yeah, I know. But why?"

Subaru exhaled sharply. "It's not important for you to know."

I sighed and sat on one chair. "Aren't you guys going to eat?" I asked. They looked at each other silently then began to 'devour' the meals. Glancing at my wristwatch, I stood and left for my room. The only thing that made me stay is the curse. If I could get rid of this curse, I'd be free to go with the Mukami brothers.

Speaking of which, I think I've met them recently but I wonder if that's merely a dream. Need to sleep early and make Ayato go for his supplement class.

-

The school was like deserted when we arrived. I was even more surprised when Ayato agreed to follow me to school. "I think the teacher mentioned the library. We should head there." I said.

The library was already open and I was surprised to see the librarian, Hirari on duty. "I thought you work in the morning?" I spoke and he stared at me nonchalantly.

"The shop is closed for today due to electricity failure." He answered. I glanced at Ayato and realized he was having a staring competition with Hirari.

I patted his shoulder. "Your tutor's here." I whispered and he glared at Hirari one last time before walking towards the table where his tutor is sitting at.

"Hi, I'm your assigned tutor, Kotarou," he held out his hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you." He smiled.

Ayato took a seat in front of him and ignored his offer. I frowned at Ayato before taking Kotarou's hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, I'm his sister." I grinned and nudged Ayato's arm.

"His sister? You two don't look the same though." Kotarou said.

"Uh that's..." I trailed off and glanced at Ayato, hoping he'd say something but he didn't. "Genetic problems." I nodded.

"Really? Are you his only sibling? Because if you do, the probability of getting the genes of-"

"I fucking get it. Now get on with whatever you want to do." Ayato growled, making Kotarou stopped talking and I was kind of relieved.

"O-okay..." he began rummaging through his things, searching for God knows what it is. "Though you might want to consider minding your language." He murmured but I heard him clear and I'm sure Ayato did too.

He just doesn't want to give a damn. "Alright then, I'll leave him to your care. I'll be going now!" I chirped and walked away. The murderous aura Ayato was emitting scared me. I went to the counter and leaned my chin on the table, watching Hirari.

"If you want to talk, just talk." He spoke and I giggled.

"How did you get the curse?" I whispered.

He halted whatever he was doing and spun his head to me. I gave him a questioning look. "I mean, it's fine if you don't want to spill it! I'm just bored." I quickly said after he winced.

"Sit here." He patted on a chair beside him and I obeyed.

"My mother was a witch and my father was a human," he began. "I have a younger sister, who was born with the power to move things with her mind... telekinesis to be exact. Well, my mother was glad because there was someone who could continue her tradition. However, a group of demons came one night and took my sister away. My mother tried to kill them and my father died in the process.
