The Lost Ones

how it all started

Ring! The blistering sound of the fire alarm echo's throughout the school kids running and screaming, some plugging their ears but I'm just in a blur like I have no idea what's going on I can hear the alarm but I'm frozen I can't move am I scared am I shocked. I see my friend Stacy walking towards the exit so I try and follow her I almost fall down the stairs  because its so crowded. I walk out the doors  a  burst of freezing wind Strick's my body,the blur begins to pass I look around trying to spot Stacy but its like she disappeared I run toward Steven (my boyfriend) he looks like he's in shock I ask "what's wrong" and he says "the fire, the fire was my fault! I could have put it out but I didn't I was a coward and ran away". " It wasn't your fault it was in the moment and that moment passed OK " I replied. Do you know were Stacy is? I asked. "I have no idea". He replied. I hear someone shout "there's still people inside"! My heart stops I start running toward the entrance a swarm of teachers are blocking the entrance but I push them aside and run to were I last saw Stacy I call her name " Stacy! Stacy!" But there was no answer I ran to were we would hide if a teacher was walking down the hallway when we would skip class, but she's not there either then I hear someone coughing down the hall I run and its Stacy " omg Stacy are you OK common let me help you out of here". "My leg I think its broken"! Stacy replies. " "i'm getting you out"! I replied. I grab her waste to help her up then she leans on me and we leave as fast as we can. " if the fire reaches the science lab it will be explosive we have to go fast " Stacy said as we were having trouble down the stairs. We see the exit as we run out an ambulance is already hear they take Stacy and I to the field were all the kids are the paramedics check out Stacy's foot and they check out my lungs because of all the smoke Steven runs up to me "holy shit I was so scared when you went back in the school I tried to follow you but Mr.golburg wouldn't let me pass is Stacy OK?" "I don't know I think she broke her leg" after that point I only remember going home and sleeping.
