I live in Los Angeles and Im Natalie and Im a 17 year old almost 18 orphan. Im also the oldest orphan at this orphanage so all the others look up to me. I just wish that somebody loved me. I lost both of my parents in a car wreck when I was a week old. I was also in the car wreck but I managed to survive and someone brought me to the orphanage. I cant wait until I turn 18. I will finally get released. But I have to wait for 1 more week. Thats going to be like forever for me. I headed down the corridor and I walked outside. The only place where I enjoyed. It was a beautiful garden. I saw a beautiful tall and skinny man with long curly hair with a fedora and sunglasses on. He was talking with my advisor and he slowly took off his sunglasses and I saw the most beautiful eyes ever. He eventually noticed my stare and I quickly took my eyes off of him and I headed for the cement bench near the rose bushes and I sat down. I felt someone touch my shoulder and the beautiful man came into my view and he looked nervous and he asked "May I sit with you?" I smiled and said "Sure." He smiled and bit his lip and asked "So your Natalie?" I smiled a little and said "Yeah. And you are?" He smiled and said "Im Michael Jackson." I smiled and we shook hands and he smiled and asked "So your 17?" I smiled and said "Yeah. But I will be 18 in a week.. What about you?" He smiled and said "Im 19." I smiled and said "Oh. Okay." He smiled and said "So I was talking with your advisor and I asked her when the last time was since you have been outside of this orphanage and she told me that you have never been outside of it. Is this true?" I said "Yeah.. They wont let me go anywhere.." He smiled and said "Well... How would you like to go with me to the boardwalk for the day?" I smiled a little and said "As much as I wish I could.. I cant.. They wont let me out.. Im sure that it is very beautiful.." He smiled and said "I can get you out of here for at least a few hours... I already asked Mary and she said that it was fine as long as I got you here before 8pm. Me and Mary are great friends." I smiled and said nervously "I don't know Michael.. Im scared.. I haven't left this place ever.." He smiled and said "Come on.. You will love it.. I swear.." I smiled and said "Alright.." He smiled and said helping me up "Okay.. Lets get you signed out.." I smiled and we walked to the front desk and Michael smiled and said "Mary. I would like to sign Natalie out until 8." She smiled and said "Thats no problem Michael.. Just be sure that she gets back here.." He smiled and said "Certainly.." We walked outside of the orphanage and I followed him to a car and he helped me in and I smiled and said "I cant believe that Im actually outside of that orphanage..." He smiled and said "Well you are so I hope you enjoy it.." I smiled as he drove us somewhere and he parked the car and he helped me out and I saw a bunch of little stores and a pathway made out of wood leading to the shore of a beach and I followed him and he smiled and said sweetly "You know... I wish you had better...." I smiled a little and said "Yeah.. I just wish someone loved me or cared about me..." He smiled and said "I plan to get you out of the orphanage by the time your 18.. This could take me awhile but you have to work with me so I can help get you outta there... That means we have to visit regularly.. I could adopt you but I don't necessarily want to do that.. Im going to prove to them that you are stable enough to live on your own.. Im going to have to fill out lots of paperwork.. But I'm going to do it." I smiled and said "Thats the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me." He smiled and said "Thank you." I smiled and said "Your welcome." We walked started walking the beach and he smiled and asked "May I ask you where you are from?" I smiled and said "Im from Las Vegas actually." He smiled and asked "Really?" I smiled and said "Yeah. What about you? Where are you from?" He smiled and said "Im from Gary Indiana." I smiled and said "Oh wow." We continued walking and he smiled and asked "Would you ever go back to Las Vegas?" I shrugged and said "I have nothing to go back to." He said "Ahh.. I see.." I smiled and said "Yeah.. It sucks being an orphan. You have no family and you feel completely abandon.. Its harder than it sounds.." He said softly "I would never want anyone to go through everything that you did.. You are a very strong lady.." I smiled a little and said "Thank you Michael." He smiled and said "Your welcome." We continued walking and he smiled and asked "Would you like to have a cup of coffee with me?" I smiled and said "Sure." He led me to a small cafe and we sat down across from each other and he smiled and we stared into each others eyes and the waiter walked up to us and asked "How may I help you two?" Michael smiled and said "May we get 2 cups of coffee?" The waiter smiled and jotted down our order and said "Certainly." The waiter left our table and Michael smiled and said "So I actually have to go to my parents house to grab a few things.. I was wondering if you would like to meet them.." I smiled and said "I would love too." He smiled and said "That would be great.. Im sure that they wouldn't mind." I smiled and said "I wish that you could have met mine as well but its unfortunate.." He reached over and touched my arm and said "I wish I could have too and Im sure that they were as great as you.." I blushed and smiled and said "Yeah." The waiter brought us our coffee and Michael slowly removed his hand off of my arm and I thanked the waiter as he walked by and Michael smiled and sipped his coffee and I slowly took a sip of mine and I glanced at the clock and it read "6:30" and I sighed and Michael asked sweetly "Is something bothering you?" I said looking down "Well Its already 6:30 and I have to be back at the orphanage at 8 and I don't want to go back... I-I just wish that I never have to go back.." My eyes started to water and Michael saw the pain in my eyes and he got up and he sat next to me and said sweetly "I promise that Im going to get you out of there sweetheart.. Okay?" I took a deep breath and ask "But W-What if you forget about me?" He gasped and said staring deep into my eyes and asked "How in the world could I forget about you? Hmm?" I shrugged and Michael hugged me and held me in his arms and said "I promise I wont forget.." I smiled a little and looked into his eyes and he smiled and wiped my tears and said "I wont forget... Okay?" I smiled a little and asked "Pinky promise?" He smiled and said sweetly "Pinky promise.." We pinky promised and I smiled and we finished our coffee and he smiled and asked "Are you ready to go meet my parents?" I smiled and said "Yeah." He paid the bill and he helped me up and he led me to the car and he drove us to his parents house and he parked the car and he helped me out and we walked up the porch and Michael smiled and opened the door and gestured for me to enter and I stepped inside and wiped my feet on the rug and Michael walked in behind me and I saw a beautiful older lady sitting down on the couch. Michael looked almost exactly like her and Michael smiled and said "Hello mother, I would like you to meet Natalie.. Shes..." I smiled and said quietly "Its okay Michael you can tell her.." His mother smiled and asked "Shes what Michael?" He sighed and said softly "Shes an orphan.." Her smile faded a little and she looked over to me and said "Im very sorry sweetie... Please call me Katherine.. Im Michaels mother." I smiled a little and said "Its okay. Its nice to meet you.." She said softly "If you ever need anything let me or Michael know. We will help you." Michael asked "So wheres Joseph?" She said "He's at work and he doesn't get off until 11 tonight." Michael said "Oh.. Tell him I said hi then." She smiled and said "I will." Michael said "I forgot my song book and I had left it here on Sunday." She said "Oh.. Its on the counter near the kitchen." He said "Okay.. Thanks Mother." I followed as he walked into a kitchen and he called out looking at his watch "Hey I better get going.. I have to get Natalie back to the orphanage before 8." Katherine said "Okay.. I hope to see you soon again Natalie.." I smiled and said "You too Katherine." She smiled and looked over to Michael and said "Drive safe Michael... Ill see you in a few weeks.. He smiled and said "I will.. Bye mother. I love you.." Michael headed for the door and I followed him she called out "I love you too Michael." We left the house and Michael opened the car door for me and I climbed in and I said "Thank you." He smiled and said "Your welcome." He started the car and drove us to the orphanage and he shut off the ignition and we just sat in the car for a moment and I said "I don't want to go back Michael.. I don't.." He said pulling me into a hug "I know.." My eyes started to water again and I said "Don't leave me here Michael...." He wiped my tears and said "I have to for now.. But Im going to get you out of here.." I sighed and said slowly getting out of his car "Goodbye Michael...." He looked shocked and said "Natalie... Wait.." He ran up to me and I asked "Wait for what? Mich..." He slowly moved my hair out of my face and stared deep into my eyes and slowly leaned in and kissed my lips softly and he slowly pulled away and said "Please don't be upset with me... I cant have you upset with me too okay?" I said softly pulling him into a hug "Thanks for taking me out today.." He said "Anytime... Are you mad at me for having to leave you?" I smiled a little and said "No.. Im not mad at you.." I slowly stood on my tippy toes and pulled him in for a kiss and I slowly pressed my lips on his and we kissed again. It felt very magical... I slowly pulled away and he smiled and said "I wish I didn't have to drop you off..." I smiled and said "Me too..." He said softly "Im going to come pick you up tomorrow for the day..." I smiled and said "Ill look forward to that.." He smiled and said "Alright." He walked me inside and he signed me back in and Mary smiled and said "Thank you Michael for having her back on time.." He smiled and said "Your welcome." I started to head towards my room and Michael said "Natalie...." I turned around and he stared deep into my eyes for what felt like hours and I asked "Yes Michael?" He smiled and said "Goodnight.." I smiled and said "Goodnight Michael.." I headed for my room and my roommate and best friend Kylie asked "Where have you been all day Nat?" I smiled and said "Ive been out all day... Ive been out...."
