Chapter 1:
Chloe's POV:🔆"Dad! I can't find my ripped skinny jeans!", I call from upstairs. "Chloe, get a move on, just wear something else!", my dad calls back. "Never mind, I found them!", I shout. I quickly get my outfit on and spray my 'warm and cozy' body mist from Pink. I run down the stairs and meet my dad in the kitchen. "Just missed the bus, but luckily for you, you've got a dad to take you to school in his hot new ride", he tells me. I giggle and roll my eyes. This 'hot new ride' he's referring to is his new Jeep Wrangler, nice fast car, but definitely a little on the manly side for me. "Big game today?", I ask as I eat my Special K cereal. "Yep. If we win, we go to regionals, and if we win regionals, we go to nationals", he replies. My dad is the varsity hockey coach of my school, but no one really knows, my dad and I are just so different. I do figure skating, and he's like the biggest hockey head. It's just me and my dad, my mom died while giving birth to my little sister, ever since then it's been me, Chloe Lukasisk, and my dad, Marc Lukasisk. "Hurry up Chlo, I have a meeting with the principal today, so we have to get moving", he says. "Kk lemme just get my bag", I reply and sneak a bit of lipgloss onto my lips, then follow him out to the car. My house is only five minutes away from my school so we get there before my head gets too drowned in the hockey scores from last nights game. "Thanks for the ride dad", I thank my dad as he stops at the drop off lane. "No problem, sweetheart, I need you to stop by the rink after your figure skating practice, can you do that?", he asks. "Yep, see you then", I answer. I watch him as he parks his car and makes his way to the opposite side of the door where all the teachers, lunch ladies, and other school personnel enter. I enter the school and I immediately spot my two of my best friends, Maddie and Kalani, they're also on my figure skating competition team. Maddie's the best and I'm of course second to her, Kalani and I are neck at neck but I'm a little better than her. The rest of the girls, like, Kendall, Nia, Mackenzie, and Jojo are sort of just there. "Hey Chlo!", Maddie and Kalani say in unison. "Hi guys", I reply. "Omg chlo, you are not going to believe this!", Kalani starts but Maddie interrupts her. "You are gonna be so happy!", Maddie cuts in. "What's going on?", I ask. "Nick Dobbs has a thing for you!", Maddie says excitedly. I smile to myself. Maddie and Kalani look at each other and smirk, "you already knew, didn't you?", Kalani asks. "He asked me out last night after practice!", I shriek. "Omg! Did you say yes?", Maddie asks. "I told him I would think about it", I answer blushing. "He's so hot!", Kalani adds. "Not on our level hot but still, he'll have to settle for now", Maddie giggles and we link arms with her in the middle. We make our way to first period as everyone turns their heads, were not the stereotypical mean popular girls you see in movies, but to be honest, we are a pretty big deal at our school. Boys wanna date us and girls wanna be us. "Hi Chloe", this girl Ava says to me as I continue walking. I wave to her and smile, she looks so excited.
