I charged at the door, my tongue failing out in the breeze.
Smack!
I had ran into the glass door. I whimpered, pain shooting through my nose and muzzle. I backed away, slumping onto my behind and pawing my muzzle, sniffling. I looked at the door, examining it. A large handle was just out of my reach.
That probably opens the door...gosh darn it!
After a few minutes of recovering from the hit, I sat back up, glaring at the shiny metal handle. I once again crouched down, wanting to jump at the handle, pull it down, and open the door.
That'll do it, won't it?
I swished my tail a bit and lunged at the handle. I jumped up and hugged my legs onto it. The door swung open loudly. I jumped off and charged down the pathway. I happily ran throughout the labyrinth of cobblestone pathway, before stopping and collapsing to my belly, gasping for air. I was exhausted, desperately trying to find the exit.
Where does this place end...?
Was I going in circles?
Where am I, anyways...?
As I continued to catch my breath, the moonlight shines against my back. It felt cool, the breeze blowing in my short fur, and the light calmly shining around me.
I soon got up and started to trot around, not wanting to be tired as I was before. I tried to keep track of what I saw, so I would make sure I wasn't backtracking or anything. I kept my progress and soon met with a large gateway. I looked at it in awe.
The gateway had a huge sign on a big arch, decorated with bushes, flowers, and other greenery. Two fountains of water were place around the edges. Under the arch was a gate made from rusted metal bars. I smiled slightly, but felt slightly worried.
How do I climb THAT?
I started to approach the gate, planning the way to get over it.
I tried to slide my paw in between a bar. No luck, my paws were too thick. I looked up. The gate was pretty tall.
I think I need to climb it...
