A long, long time ago in ancient Greece, there lived two girls. Their names were Artemis and Demeter. As they got older throughout the years they both learned how to hunt. When they were the age of a goddess they got a letter from the messenger Cupid. The messenger Cupid gave them a letter and it said:

    “Dear Young Goddess,

I have invited you to come to Mount Olympus and meet me and my wife. I hope you two can come. Hera and I would like to meet you both. We hope you can come.

From the leader of the gods,

                                                                  Zeus

The girls were so excited to meet Zeus and Hera. They both got all of their tools together and when they were done they headed off on their journey. Artemis and Demeter continued down the trail. All of a sudden they heard a noise, it was a horseman. The horseman was running right towards them but Artemis readied her bow, shot it with a single arrow wounding it.  They moved on with their journey. Hungry from walking, they stopped at a stump of a tree grabbing a few apples from their back pack. When they heard a sudden growl from a near bush, it sounded like a bear! They got up from eating and saw a giant killer bear staring at them fiercely. They had fought and fought but the bear would not die. But at that moment Artemis realized a soft spot on the bear. Artemis whispered to Demeter they both nodded at each other and agreed. Artemis shot at the arms and the legs. Then the bear fell to the ground and Demeter stabbed the bear’s chest and the bear died. They quickly pack up their food and left. The girls were almost to Mount Olympus, but there was a delay giant snake dragon protecting Mount Olympus. The snake dragon was about to eat them both but Artemis and Demeter had a plan they both moved different directions and then Artemis shot arrows at the snake dragon and she hits it in the eyes and Demeter cut the head off of the snake dragon. When they cut the head off the snake it grew two more. Demeter charges at the snakes tail cutting it off, Artemis shot the snake dragon in the heart and killed it. They bring the Dragon’s tail as a gift for Zeus and Hera hoping for a good reward from them.

When they were eating dinner Zeus and Hera both said we would like to thank you two young ladies for killing that snake dragon for us. When they were done eating Artemis and Demeter said that they had to go home. So they set off home and they both went to bed. That’s why people hunt.

The next moring the two girls got up, eat and head off to start their hunt for the day. The girls were in the woods and were trying to hunt for deer. They cant find anything not even a deer. Then Artemis heard a sound. They got their wepons ready and the deer got out of the bushes. They hid and then Artemis shot the deer and the deer was dead. The girls brote the deer home with them. They had aten the deer right to the bones and it was really good to them. They both saw the last peace of meat. They both went for it and then they got into a big fight. They were mad at eachother and they would not talk to eachother for a long time. Then one day Demeter said that she is leaving and is moving in with her boyfriend. Artemis didn't say a word back to her. Demeter started to pack and then she left. Artemis was going to go after her but she didn't. Artemis was very sad without Demeter and she would not hunt from that point on.

One day dering the summer Demeter came back and said that she was sorry that she ate the last bit of the deer and Artemis said that she was sorry for when she yelled at her. So they lived happly ever after the end.
