on monday i picked alex up from daycare and took her out for ice cream before abbie got off work. we spent our time that evening as a family watching movies and coloring.

on tuesday abbie got her final wedding arrangements together. the same morning my sister and her husband flew down. we listened for two hours about their honeymoon adventure - sparing the gory details, of course.

on wednesday my mom and dad came home. abbie's grandparents and parents also came home, too. all of us managed to get along for the evening and have a wonderful dinner together.

on thursday everyone was rushing around with haste getting last minute fittings in and beginning to set up decorations for the dress rehearsal friday night. thursday night was a quiet and relaxing one.

on friday the rest of our family flew or drove down and checked into their hotel rooms. in the evening it was chaotic but the dress rehearsal went smoother than anticipated.

on saturday i didn't write. i celebrated becoming one with abbie and her family. on saturday, the clifford family and smith family united.

on sunday abbie and i nursed our hangovers and began to pack for our honeymoon. it was bound to be a vacation that neither of us would forget.

note: i know it seems like a huge time gap but this is roughly fifteen months later. meaning alex would be 1 year and 3 months. you'll be seeing time gaps throughout the story, even if they're extremely awkward but whatever.
