Chapter 2- Ain't No Fairytales

"Lu-lucy?!"

Someone with a familiar voice called out from the crowd. Who was that again? Oh Macao?

Natsu tore his gaze from Erza who was apparently relieved as she let out a sad sigh.

He looked at the crowd who were now looking at the newest newcomer with looks.

Looks of astonishment and confusion.

Natsu's pink eyebrows knotted in mild confusion as he felt like he had been let out of something.

That and a nagging feeling inside his chest.

He looked at the front door that everyone was looking at. He raised a pink eyebrow as he saw a figure at the huge stony door.

A figure who was wearing a dark purple cloak that covered down to the legs.

Natsu's ebony eyes narrowed in suspect. Afterall, someone who would wear a cloak that would cover every part of the body would look pretty shady to everyone, right?

But wait, Natsu realized something. No, more like he NEEDED to 'remember' something very very important thing, certainly not from long ago.

In fact, it was pretty recent.

And the fact hit him square in the face.

He felt like a totally retarded 25 year old man.

It was Lucy.

IT IS LUCY.

He inhaled a deep breath, as he didn't know that he hadn't for the last few seconds. His eyes widened to maximum. His ears shot up to pick up every single detail in the guild which was pure silence.

And.

His heart flew up.

And his chest burned with a special kind of flame.

Massive waves of emotion rolled up from his chest towards his throat, urging him to let out all of these feelings that he had been suppressing, that he had kept hidden in the deepest part of his heart all these years.

Affection.

"Luce."

His voice came lower than everyone thought it would have been. In fact, it even surprised the fire dragon-slayer himself.

It had came out as a low whisper.

Merely a whisper.

From the Salamander???

Wh..at?

The cloaked figure moved under the cloth. It was as if the person was shaking. Nobody else made a single movement as if such a thing would break the fragile tension in the atmosphere.

The head shot up and light surfaced onto that person's face.

Natsu felt his heart stop at the sight of the face.

His lungs stopped breathing.

His veins stopped flowing.

His eyes stopped moving.

His whole body stood still.

And frozen.

It's ironic, a fire dragon-slayer was frozen?

It was because he saw it.

The eye patch.

Over the left eye.
