This story combines my love of Egyptian mythology and fairytales, so I hope you can enjoy this beautiful tale of an Egyptian Fairytale. It also came like most of my stories that I write from some ramond confession I have with my friends and family. The song kind of fits the mood and tone of the story.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Long ago, in Africa, when Egypt was spilt into Upper and Lower Egypt, the most unlikely of friendships was formed between Menes, the future ruler of Upper Egypt and Moema Nikosazana, future ruler of Lower Egypt.
These two most unlikely of friends meet on the boarder of thier two kingdoms in the area that was covered in reeds, when Menes was four years old and Moema Nikosazana was three years old.
The day that these two best friends were surprisingly torn apart, was the day that Menes's father, Jenzin, pharaoh of Upper Egypt, found out; and since his father did not share Menes dream of uniting the kingdoms; he ordered Menes to leave Moema Nikosazana alone forever. Also to make matters worse, Moema Nikosazana's mother, beloved queen of Lower Egypt, Michiko, became gravely ill and had passed away six days before Menes left her, and Moema Nikosazana with her family that came along a year.
"Menes, what do you mean we can't be friends anymore!?! " Screamed Moema Nikosazana as her waist length silky raven black hair, fluttered about her mikly pale completion, and her large full moon sliver eyes filled millions of unshed tears.
The thing was that Moema Nikosazana and Menes had been best friends for a couple years when this suddenly happened . And knew things about each other that not even thier parents knew.
With a pain filled voice, Menes said, with his raven black short hair could hide the tears that fell from his golden eyes down his lightly tanned complexion,
"What I mean is that we can never be friends from this day forward, Moema Nikosazana. "
That heart breaking day for both Menes and Moema Nikosazana was the last time they saw each other or so they thought.
They each gave the other the symbols of thier rolay family. Menes gave Moema Nikosazana an amyset scrab locket on a long thin golden chain and Moema Nikosazana gave Menes an ebony stoned ring that was set in a large golden band, and had the eye of Hourcus craved into the stone.
Menes was ten years old and Moema Nikosazana was nine years old.

                                                  Ten Years Latter :
                                  Moema Nikosazana's Viewpoint :
Moema Nikosazana bolted up right in her midget single bed;  that had an ancient and moldy blanket, that at one point in time might have been white, to keep her warm, and a hard as rock pillow, tears still fresh upon her face.
Usually when Moema Nikosazana went to sleep, she was so tried that she didn't dream at all, but when she did she only dreamed three cretin dreams :
                          1. The day her mother, Michiko deceased queen of Lower Egypt,  died
                          2. The day that her best friend, Menes abounded her

                          3. Or the day her father, Ujrak,  king of Lower Egypt, married a woman named Lindine, who came from a well respected dance troop in all of both kingdoms, and she gained Haukea, Iolana, and Hokulani as her step sisters.

Momea Nikosazana,  let out a heavy heart felt sigh, as she got up from her bed, and dressed for the day. Her clothing coinisted of a smiple white cotton dress, that had more patches than fabric,  a smiple frayed -torn brown belt, and her long waist length raven black hair braided down her back with a drowning white cord.
Once Moema Nikosazana was dress; she left her air drafty room, that was located in the what all the old severnts called the end of rainbow, part of the castle. The moment she passed the second corridor, Momea Nikosazana broke out into an all out dead run.
The reason was because she had to start waking up her step mother and step sisters, help the chief prepare a three course breakfast for each individual person, clean the entire castle from top to bottom, the laundry which included all the sheets and bedding, polish the sliverware and all the statutes in and out of the castle,  not to mention anything else that her step mother, Lindiwe deemed in dire need of being taken care of.
First Momea Nikosazana went to wake up Haukea, who had below length chestnut brown hair, onyx black eyes, an ivory pale completion; second she woke up Hokulani, who had knee length midnight black hair, sky blue eyes, an ivory pale completion;  thirdly she woke up Iolana, who had shoulder length more morhamgy hair, amyset purple eyes, an ivory pale completion; and lastly she woke up her step mother,  Lindiwe, who had shoulder length chocolate brown hair, emerald green eyes ,and the same ivory pale completion as her three spoiled rotten daughters.
After her step family began thier various stages of wakefulness,  and she had left each thier usual cups of warm milk with honey on thier night stands by thier lavish bedsides( they claimed that the honey and milk helped thier completion stay pale). Momea Nikosazana began to help the chief prepare breakfast according to the three individual list each member of her step family had left on thier night stands as they did every single evening for the following morning.
As soon as Moema Nikosazana walked into the large castle kitchen,  the chief let out a large sigh that deeply echoed her's,  and asked "What do the royal pains want for breakfast today?"
Moema Nikosazana gave the chief a look of pure snyomth as she took a deep breath,  then read off from  the three at least five feet long lists.
"First will step mother of course,  and her list goes as follows :
1. She wants to eat breakfast outside on the dinning hall blaqance to enjoy the sunrise
2. She wants a fresh bouquet of irises, lilies, and lotus flowers to grace the table along with the second best set of China and silverware
3. And finally for breakfast step mother would like:
-Fattened fowl seasoned with rosemary and parsley,  steaming hot biscuits, and a side of lentils.
Secondly is Haukea, seeing as how she is the oldest,  and her list goes as follows :
1. Stuffed beef seasoned with Cumin, and cinnamon, a small vinalla cake, and a side of fire roasted figs.
Thirdly is Hokulani, as she is the second oldest, and her goes as follows :
1. Stuffed roasted duck seasoned with mustard and sweetened with honey, six different kinds of bread, and a side of chickpeas.
Finally and lastly Iolana,  as she is the youngest,  and her list goes as follows :
1. Roasted goat seasoned with cumin, parsley, glaric, and rosemary, with seventeen different kinds of biscuits,  and a side of cummbers and onions. "
"Wine to drink I amuse?  Seeing as how it is Saturday? " asked the chief as Moema Nikosazana triedly nodded her head in agreement with him.
The reason for this, was that her step family dammed wine with breakfast every Saturday despite the time of year.
The chief smiled at Moema Nikosazana as he kindly said "Well then little princess,  you better eat up," and pushed a bowl of fresh hot plain grits in front of her, which she great fully began to eat.

Ten Years Latter :  Menes's viewpoint:
Menes woke up in a cold sweat, his fine Egyptian  cotton blanket entangled around his leg, and his soft  as a cloud  pillow at the foot of his bed.
Usually when Menes  went to sleep he dreamed about how he would be the one by the grace of Ra and Horus to unite Upper and Lower Egypt. However this time Menes  dreamed a memory that he knew would never forget, no matter how tired he got. The membrane the memory or the dream old of losing his best friend.
As Menes  as was dressing for the day, in a white linen line cloth with a golden rectangular belt, a knock came upon his bedroom door.
"Enter," was all Menes  said before his mother queen of all of Upper Egypt, Nerida, a woman who had long ankle  length auburn hair, why the violet eyes, and creamy pale skin, dressed and a long ankle-length violet cotton dress, with a golden belt around her waist, and golden plated hair dress in her hair entered the bedroom.
" Son, we shall have prepared feseekh, mulukhiya, and dukkah for breakfast today. Where would you like to eat it at today?  " asked Nerida as she could already tell that Menes  was in one of his melancholy moods, and the only way to get him out of said mood of gloom and doom attitude by having breakfast in the palace gardens.
Or more accurately, under the sycamore olive trees pomegranate trees and date trees, that surrounded the red, white, yellow, pink, orange, lavender, novelty, salmon, peach, cream, and green roses; dark blue and light blue corn flowers, a deep burning red colored flowers called playing with fire, hemsticher monetes blue, and a lovely shade of yellow cold harvest of memories, colored irises, and lastly white angel wings, white Arabian, white common, whitefish polyanthum, brilliant yellow Primrose, and is slightly yellow winter jasmine.
"Sure mother,  in our usual spot," Menes said and he glanced down at the ring that gripped his ring finger on his right hand.
Once the food have been placed before Menes and Nerida; Menes glanced up at his mother clearly wishing to ask her a very important question.
Sensing her sons great distress, Nerida asked "What is it, my son? " As she took a drink of fresh cold milk and glanced up at her son.
" Any word back from the Commander, mother? " asked Menes as he finally began to eat his food, while  he waited his mother's reply to his question.
"Yes , the Commander sent a letter saying that both he and Azàt, his  second in command, would be here latter this evening, to speak with you, " answered Nerida as she watched her son nodd his head in knowledgement of her words, but already clearly thinking about the evening that was to come.
"Mother,  in order to unite Upper and Lower Egypt, I need the commanders   permission. He already controls all of Lower Egypt, a half  of Rome, and another half of Greece. His army has not lost a single battle to anyone including the vicious and bloodthirsty Roman armadas." Said Menes with a hint of awe within his voice and a hint of jealousy as well at the brilliant of the so-called commander.
"I know son, but remember that this talk is need for a peaceful conclusion for both kingdoms." Was all Nerida said as she continued eating her food, I'd only broke the silence by saying, " But you could get married to a nice young Egyptian woman, so I don't have to worry about you all the time."
Menes let out a deep heavy heartfelt sigh common as his mother had been saying that for the past four years, ever since he turned 16 and had taken over the throne from his father.
"Mother,  I told you once and I have told you a thousand times more, I will marry the girl that wears a scarb around her neck head is not afraid to challenge me when I have overstepped my boundaries." Menes said as quietly as a church mouse as he finished eating,    gave his mother a kiss on the cheek, and went to prepare for the commanders arrival later that evening.
