I had just spent a great day in Bramerton with Jim Chapman. I was on my way to the bus stop when I realised that the bus I needed to get was already there. Ready to leave any second. I ran toward the bus, - that would take me to the station - it was the last one tonight. It was slowly pulling away.
"No! Wait for me!" I called. But it was too late, the bus had already left. I knew I wouldn't be able to catch up with it so I settled for a brisk walk. I would call Casper but my phone was dead. It was starting get quite dark and there were some dodgy looking people around so I quickened my pace and tried to stay on the main roads.
When I finally reached the station, I realised it was no good. All the trains to London had left and the next one was at 5 o'clock the next morning. I was thinking, maybe I could sleep the night at the station, but I quickly changed my mind when I saw the amount of staff that were still there, at the station who were bound to notice and kick me out. Then what would I do? In the end I decided to try and get into a hotel, and possible have to busk for some extra cash... Of all the days to forget my wallet! "NO! This is stupid" I thought to myself. I'll go into a bar and ask if I can charge my phone there, hopefully that will get me somewhere. So I set of to look for a bar.
I soon found a bar, the man at the bar seemed nice and thankfully let me charge my phone there, using his phone charger. I sat in the bar and got some tap water, since it was free. Whilst waiting until my phone was charged, I asked the man,
"Hey mate? How long is this place open for?"
"'till four in the morning, by the looks of it your need a place to stay. Am I right?" he replied sympathetically.
"Sadly," I paused, "Yes, do you mind if I..." But he interrupted.
"Yeah, sure as long as you keep yourself to your- BLIMEY! Are you that Alfie Deyes kid m' kids watch?!" He questioned in shock.
"Errr... yeah, yes I am" I replied, unsure of how he would reply. He either hated me or didn't know that much about me.
"Well you famous! Of cause you can stay! Do you mind if I mention this to my boss? He's breechin' on givin' me a raise!" He exclaimed.
"I guess so, I'm gonna get some sleep now, okay?" I breathed. I had only just realised how exhausted I was.
"Sure!" Said the man as he got ready to serve some customers that had just came in.
After calling Caspar and leaving a message:
"Hi Caspar, won't be back tonight. Sorry! I'll explain when I get back, Bye!"
- he mentioned going to some party with some of his old friends - I settled of to go to sleep.
Next thing I knew, someone was shaking me awake,
"Hey? Kid? You gotta wake up! The bar's closing 'till noon. That's when I remembered where I was,
"Yeah..." I yawned, "I'm awake," I said as I sat up. After waking myself up, I grabbed my stuff and headed to the door, "Thanks for everything, I didn't catch your name?" I questioned.
"Rob" he plainly said.
"Well you already know my name but, Thanks again Rob," I said as I left. I walked quite quickly towards the station. When I got there I had 10 minutes untill the train back to London left. So I bought my new ticket and headed for the platform. The train had been there all night so after having my ticket checked I went ahead and found a seat. Which wasn't hard since not many were on the train since it wasn't a weekday so no one was going to work. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and found two texts:
Hey got your message, see you tomorrow. I'm guessing you missed you train back?? LOL!!
