Hi my name is Mia I live in New York City my parents are always working but they seem to have time for me though.

I have 1 brother and 1 sister Terri is my sister and Stacey is my brother we live in a very nice house due to my father. He works as an attorny and my mom is a house mom.

We have neighbors who seem to have no kids. Their very nice though but their weird in some ways especially the Wayne family somethings fishy about them.

Anyways I'm sitting home in my room watching the news , I'm really scared about the purge. I forgot to tell you but the Purge is something that America has every year. Its when ALL crime is legal , they let out convicts in jail , and they say that all weapons , murder ANYTHING is legal.

They say that the government came up with this but there has to be more to the story to come up with something crazy as this so called holiday.

The government says that they do this holiday because its the only time when people all over America can release the Hatred and Crime on any innocent person , or people they don't like. They can release it on the handicapped or , old , children , the hospital anything.

I don't believe in that its just not right my moms always says to me every year remember all the good the purge does. It does not do anygood by killing innocent children and people that's just sick. My sibilings believe in it but I don't it just.....wrong.

Mia - ok mom I'll be down in a minute

as I was walking down the stairs I saw everyone at the table. Forgot to tell you but its 1 more hour until the Purge begins.

Mom - nice to have you hear Mia you usually were in your room this past week due to The Purge

Mia - I know mom its just wron-

Stacey - I don't think its wrong this is the only time when people can release their anger I don't think it is

I looked at my sister who seemed to be trying to get out of the conversation I decided to speak up

Mia - Terri what do you think about it?

Terri - Well I think that its not right for innocent people to get hurt but

Mia - but what? Terri you think its good for people to die the way the have been ALL these years huh?

Terri - I'm sorry but the governement is right I -

Mia - I understand I'm done please excuse me

Mom - your excused Mia

I ran up the stairs I'm tired of them its nothing good about that its all bad bad bad uhh I hate this messed up , sick world. I looked at the clock and instantly got scared all over again. 20 more minutes until it starts I don't even want to say the name.

Dad - MIA COME DOWN HERE SO WE CAN BE ON LOCKDOWN!!!

Mia - ok dad I'll be there.

my dad somewhat had sympathy for me he really had nothing to say when i would talk about it because he knows I am telling the truth. I went to the family room where all the cameras were. This is the 1 time in a year I been down here. We only come in here when the Pur - I mean its here. I sat down in between my dad and my mom.

it was now 10 minutes left. My dad had this security system that when he presses 3478 some protecters more like stone walls come down on all the doors , windows , glass , and any see through item in the house. I kind of had a bad feeling about those protecters of course they work every year , but something tells me that somethings going to happen tonight.

my dad cut on the news it showed footage of last years Purge I wanted to run out so bad but I know if I did I would get in trouble like last year. it was now 2 minutes left. The authorized channel came on I hate the sound that comes on it pierces your ear drums.

I listened to it , it said ALL EMERGENY LINES WILL BE CUT OFF IT WILL START BACK IN 12 HOURS ALL CRIME IS LEGAL WE AUTHORIZE ALL WEAPONS. WE APPRECIATE YOU FOR YOUR PARTICPATION. all I could think about was god have mercy on us all.
