"Wait... what? I'm just a kid..." I said, looking down at the holster I assumed to be for my ray gun.
"Well," Kobra started, "After we saw you fight off those Dracs earlier, we realized that you would be a valuable addition to our team. Considering the only one of us here who's as good a shot as you is obviously me." With that, all the guys heads turned to look at him, giving him the death stare as they realized what he had just said. Kobra put on a mocking smile and after a second Ghoul just smacked him upside the head. I laughed as Kobra rubbed the back of his head.
"Ow..." He mumbled.
"Anyway..." Ghoul continued for him, "We want you to join our team. By the look of things you're a pretty good fighter and we need that 'round here." The rest of the guys nodded in agreement and I beamed, I can't believe I'm a Killjoy!
"Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!' I repeated exitedly over and over again giving them all hugs. They laughed and I jumped back onto my swing. Suddenly I heard a strange beeping noise and watched as Jet pulled a strange device out of his pocket.
"Guys... it's the Doctor. I'd better take it." Jet said as he pressed a button and the beeping stopped. He walked into the kitchen and I heard his voice, "What is it, Doc?..."
"Who's the Doctor?" I asked Poison.
"Doctor Death Defy tells us what's going on with BL/ind." He said. I just became even more confused.
"What's BL/ind?" I asked. This time, Kobra answered.
"Better Living Industries. They're kind of like the government around here, making the people of Battery City believe what they're doing is right. When really they're trying to destroy us all. The Draculoids that we fought off earlier work for them."
"So... kind of like the Capitol in The Hunger Games?" I asked, not being able to control my fandom brain from making that connection.
"The what?" Ghoul asked. I giggled.
"Never mind." I said and giggled again. I guess these guys really haven't been up to date on some things for a while. Jet came back in, then, a worried look on his face.
"Guys... BL/ind found our hideout. Time to relocate again." The boys just groaned.
"Alright, boys." Poison said, clapping his hands together. "Let's get packed." The rest of the Killjoys nodded before heading off in the direction of their rooms. I sighed.
"We'll be ready in a bit," Poison said, turning to me and smiling. "Why don't you make some food, you look hungry." As if on cue, my stomach made a noise that sounded like a wounded moose. Poison laughed.
"Yeah, I'll do that." I said, giggling. And with that I walked off into the kitchen.
I decided I would just look around and raid their cupboards. I looked in the fridge to find hot sauce and lunch meat. I decided I was in the mood for a sandwich so I grabbed sandwich pepperoni and the hot sauce. I grabbed the bread from the pantry along with some potato chips, then I grabbed a paper plate from the pantry as well and placed the bread on it. I put on the pepperoni, then the hot sauce, then the chips. I bit into it and my eyes started to water from the hot sauce but it was still REALLY good. By the time I was done eating it my nose was running and there were tears forming in my eyes but it was probably the most delicious sandwich I had ever eaten. I wanted so bad to brush my teeth but I realized that I didn't have a toothbrush so...
"KOBRA!" I shouted. I heard something crash followed by a string of cuss words and I couldn't help but laugh. He then stumbled down the hall, laughing as hard as I was.
"Yes, oh small one?" He said in between giggles.
"Okay, first of all, you should be calling Ghoul 'oh small one', I mean the dude's pratically four feet tall! Secondly, what fell?"
