PART FIVE

“No Red, ignore him.” I glared at his hand that was still on my wrist. He got the message and let go, “Sorry.”

“Its fine, but he needs to shut it before I make him cause he doesn’t know what I’m capable of doing.” I said, shooting death glares at Kayden. He just smirked at my threat.

“Yeah, and if you think you can hurt me, then why did the other person beat the crap out of you?”

“Want to know why? Because he’s my father.” The both of them just stayed silent when I told them who it was. “And the reason we were fighting is because I challenged him when we were arguing.” Before they go to say anything, a loud knock on the front door caught out attentions.

“OPEN UP! I know you’re in there.” And instantly I knew who it was. How could he have found me? Raven pushed me back into the room and Kayden went to answer the door.

“Hello, who are you?” Kayden really knew, but he was playing coy.

“I’m Red’s Father, where is she?” He demandingly asked.

“She’s not here, sorry.”

“Liar! I saw you and Raven take her here. Now give me her and we can all leave her smiling.”

“I’m sorry sir, but she’s not here.” And then there was this loud bang.

“I know she’s here, I can smell her and her blood.” Crap. I forgot wolfs have great smell.

“Raven, what do we do?” I asked whispering. Raven looked around the room until he saw a window. He grabbed my hand and we opened it and climbed out. Before we were out of the room, Raven left a not for Kayden;

Woods, meet us there!” Was what he put. We ran all the way towards the woods.

“Red, I have a plan.” He pulled a knife out of his pocket.

“You’re not going to hurt me are you?” I asked frightened.

“No, but let me see your hand.” I gave him my hand and he took my finger and slit it a tiny bit to have some blood come out. He smeared it on a few trees one way and we ran the other direction. We ran all the way to the lake, but when we got there we heard someone chasing us. It was Kayden; thank god he’s not hurt.

“I saw him run the other direction, and I saw the blood on the tree’s so, I figured you guy’s ran this way.”

“Did he follow you?” I asked.

“No, not that I know of.” Kayden said looking back. I took a sniff of the air to see if I could smell him. He’s close.

“He’s close, we need to go.” I said to the boy’s, they both gave me questioning looks.

“What do you mean ‘He’s close’?” Raven asked me.

“I mean, he’s close! I can smell him.” I explained, “Werewolf, great sense of smell.” They both made an “O” shape with their mouths and nodded in understanding. We turned around to walk away but stopped in our tracks to see my father standing, half way through his formation.

“Why aren’t you fully transformed?” I asked him.

“Because, I have had more training than you have, and you learn things as you experience it more. You are able to do it after your third change, because you have a better connection with your wolf.” I could feel my wolf fighting with me about changing.

“Raven, Kayden. I want you to go find Titus, and come back here with weapons. Don’t tell anyone where you’re going. Okay?”

“But-“

“Go. Now!” I demanded, they both took off towards town. Leaving my father and I alone.

“Now look what we got here. Pup trying to be all mighty and tough.” He taunted me as we walking in a circle, watching each other’s moves. By that time I let my wolf start to come out.

“Why don’t you just leave me alone? I don’t want to be known as your daughter anymore.” My voice laced with nothing but venom.

“Well sorry, we have the same blood,” Retorted.

“I don’t care. Get this through your thick, hollow head. You. Are. Dead. To. Me,” I said coldly.

“Ouch, that hurt so much.” He sarcastically said, grabbing his chest, pretending to be offended. Now I was really getting mad.

“You are the worst father and I will make sure that you don’t leave this alive.” I said confidently, and getting ready to attack.

“Sure… you are.” He said, not scared at all.

“I will, I promise.”

“You can’t even hurt me one bit.” I growled at him to shut it, “Oo, is someone getting mad?” He said mocking me in a baby voice. That’s it, I shot at him and attacking him, tackling him to the ground. I threw punches in his face and his gut. He threw me off by kicking me and I went flying and hit a tree. I grunted from the pain that was shooting in my lower back. “Best you got?” He said in a mocking tone again.

“No!” I tried getting up but, he kicked me right in the stomach, and I cried out in pain.

“Is that a cry I hear?” he said with humor in his voice.

“You wish!” He wasn’t paying attention so I swung my leg forward, flipping him in the air and onto the ground. He groaned in pain, because he landed on his back. “Now look who’s in pain.” I said mocking him, while I was getting up. I kicked him in the stomach multiple times, knocking the air out of him in the process. I was about to kick him in the face, until he caught my ankle, making me lose my balance and landing on my back. I kicked him to let go of my ankle, which he so gratefully let go of. I got back up and fully changed into my wolf, I growled at him to get up and change, which he did.

“Now for the real fun, let’s see whose better,” I said, taunting him.
