Daddy's Drinkin'

Daddy got to drinkin

Drank a case of beer

Mama made me leave the room

So I wouldn't hear

Daddy got some liquor

Drank til he passed out

Woke an hour later

Just to scream and shout

Mama started cryin

Said it's just not fair

Her babies gotta grow up

In a house beyond repair

Daddy got real sick

Dropped his need for drinks

House ain't quite so broken

Momma said she thinks

Daddy lasted a year

But had a real long day

Decided to have a drink

To pass some time away

I'm gettin' really scared

I've been starting to think

If daddy keeps this up

Daddy will start to drink
