The ribbon we tied,

the ribbon I tied...

It was something I never thought would happen.

But it did!

and it was wonderful.

But, just like a love drunk fool,

I thought it would last...

The delicious fragility of this travesty.

I've heard that said before,

In one of those books you used to love.

I think it fits this situation....

It looked like all of this would last till the end of time.

I should have known better.

Nothing ever lasts around me.

Everything comes and goes.

It came and left,

You came and went..

I suppose it will just be something of a memory now.

Just like with everything else I've lost.

But at least its something I can still go back to and remember.

Something I can think about when I feel blue.

Something I use to convince myself that there was still good in the world.

Back when there was still good times.

Times where we still laughed and wished.

Times where I still hoped.

Times when I still believed in forever.
