10 || First night without the sister

*Time skip to 2 months later*

I roll over in my bed and grab my phone to check the time - 7:30 am. I hop out of bed and change into just my underwear and a long, grey t-shirt.
I notice a little note sitting on my desk and murmur it out loud to myself.

'Hey Mel,
If you're reading this then you'll know that I'm getting my surgery today. Just want to let you know that I love you and I'll miss you but you're gonna see me in a couple of days. Please don't try to worry yourself about me, I'll be in good hands. Everything will be okay. Be strong for me, please.

I smile, she really does care. I'll grant her wish and be strong for her for the couple of months she has in the hospital.

I quietly sneak into Jai's and Ari's room knowing Jai would still be asleep and sit down on the bed next to his sleeping figure.

"Jaiiiiiiiiiiii" I groan, poking his head.

"Whattttt" he mimics in the same tone.

"I'm bored, and I can't annoy Ange or Ari because they aren't hereeee" I whine.

"So you decided to annoy me?"

"Yes"

"Why couldn't you just spam the boys with phone calls" he chuckles.

"Good idea! Wait wait I heard that Andrea Russett and Jenn McAllister are coming down for a meet and greet! May I please, please go!" I beg with puppy dog eyes.

"You're not gonna stop looking at me like a lost puppy dog until I say yes are you?"

I shake my head no about 5 times really fast.

"Fine, wait when is it?"

I check the date on my iPhone
"Ummm.... Today at 12am" I say satisfied since its 7:45 and I need more time to get perfect for this.

"Mkay, fine. You go get ready and I'll make breakfast and change after because you take longer to get ready" he sticks his tongue out.

I do the same. "Oh please, you're just jealous you can't get this pretty"

"At least I don't bleed from my area every month and suffer cramps nearly every time until I'm like 52"

I think we all know who won that.

Shut up i know I ain't good at comebacks but I persuaded him to take me to the meet and greet.

"Fine, you win. You're still taking me though" I laugh and walk back into my room. I change into a more presentable outfit which consists of a muscle tee with moons printed on it, blue wash out jeans with rips on the knee parts, brown studded high tops and pastel blue stud earrings. I put my hair up in a braid and put my 3D glasses on, the one without the lenses of course. Gotta look more hipster people!

By the time I had finished having breakfast and brushing my teeth it's only 8am.

"Jaiiiii" I call out from my room.

"Yes bubble?!" He calls out to me from the kitchen, yeah bubble is his new nickname for me, because I told him about one of my other old friends who I was texting and typed 'bubba' but it corrected to 'bubble.' So yeah.

"Can we walk around the shop close by and get some more Starbucks please?!"

"Sure, hurry though we gotta check up on Ariana before the meet!"

I skip down the stairs and to the car to already find Jai inside.

As he pulls out of the driveway I turn on the radio and the chorus of Baby Don't You Break My Heart Slow starts to play and I sing a-long.
