It was a warm Autumn morning at Little Nation Elementary, and the students were just settling into class. As Ms. Alexia's class took their seats, a young girl entered the room with her father. It was a shy little girl with dark crimson eyes. Her long dark hair was bound into a pair of ponytails. As she looked up at her new classmates, her father spoke with Ms. Alexia for quite some time.
"Who is she?" Al asked.
"How the hell should I know? She just got here." Matt growled.
Just then, Ms. Alexia and the girl waved goodbye to her father. When they walked back in, Ms. Alexia clapped her hands. The students gave her their undivided attention, and gazed at the young girl. Matt blushed slightly as she waved at him.
"Everyone, let's say good morning to our new friend, Asami Victoria." Ms. Alexia greeted.
"Good morning, Asami." the class greeted.
"Pleased to meet you." Asami blushed.
Ms. Alexia pointed at Matt, then handed Asami some paper. She walked her over to her seat, and introduced her to the kids at her table. Matt was a young Canadian with a long blonde curl sprouting from his head. There was Roderich, a young German that dressed like a vampire, and lastly there was Chiara. She was a pretty Italian girl with long blonde hair and expensive clothes. As Asami took her seat, Chiara was the first to speak.
"I like your jacket." Chiara smiled.
"Thank you." Asami blushed.
"Whose the designer?" she asked.
Asami shrugged her shoulders, then began sketching on her paper. Roderich was finished with his withered tree, and grew curious about his new classmate. First, he pulled on her hair. As he tugged on it slightly, Asami swatted his hand away. She wasn't annoyed, but it was bothering her. Matt motioned for him to stop and leave her alone, but Roderich didn't listen.
"Hey fräulein, what are you doing?" Roderich asked.
"Drawing." Asami replied.
"What are you drawing?" he asked.
"Apple tree." she said.
"Do you like apple trees?" he asked.
"Yes." she said.
Every time Roderich asked a question, Asami answered without looking up from her work. As she sketched the autumn apple tree, the kids were amazed. It looked rather realistic, but it needed color. Matt was drawing a sycamore tree when he noticed the red crayon was missing. He looked around to see that Asami had it.
"Can I have the red crayon?" Matt asked.
"No." Asami replied.
"Why not?" He asked.
"I need it for the apples." She stated.
Matt shrugged, then snatched the crayon from Asami's pile. She looked down, then glared at Matt. He returned her spiteful gaze. Chiara and Roderich noticed a barely visible lightning bolt between Asami and Matt. Asami held out her hand, waiting for Matt to return her crayon, but he refused.
"Give it back." Asami commanded.
"No, I'm using it." Matt said, coloring his tree.
Asami pouted, then scribbled on Matt's paper with her pencil. Matt stared in shock, then retaliated by doing the same in a yellow crayon. Asami gasped as she looked at her picture, there was a lightning bolt running through her apple tree. Asami grabbed him by the collar, and slugged him in the nose. The class watched as Matt held his nose. He looked at her, and growled. Then, he punched her in the eye and waited for her to cry. As Asami keeled forward holding her eye, she muttered under her breath.
