Madara sat at the table, his fingers drumming rhythmically against the table. Onyx orbs glanced irately at the clock on the wall '8:00... where the hell is she' his mind wandered the possibilities- majority of them negative. 'What if she had been injured... or kept back at the hospital because of an emergency' the possibilities were endless. His fiancé was always on time, a habit he needed to have rub off on himself so for her to not be home by now -an hour after she said she would be no less- made him worry. The possibilities continued on in his mind, a form of torture for the poor male and one from which he wouldnt be able to escape. Getting out of his chair he growled slightly, pacing the floor that sat between the table and the kitchen area. 'Where the hell is-' he was torn from his thoughts as the door knob jiggled before it was unlocked by the only other person who had the keys. His body turned swiftly, the males fierce gaze looking over at the hallway entrance as he waited for her figure to emerge. As the familiar thud of the front door shutting sounded, followed by shuffling then petite footsteps coming up the hall he stiffened. The long black hair, fair and unmarred complexion and golden orbs he had fallen for appeared, her pale complextion encased in a mask of exhaustion and her nurses attire. He hadn't seen her since early yesterday morning and she looked... horrible. Leaning against the doorframe she smiled meekly "im sorry im late love... there was an abnormally large intake of patients this morning." She mumbled with a yawn. Without a moments hesitation he appeared in front of her, much to the small womans shock as two muscular arms enclosed around her in an embrace. Leaning against him she rubbed his side with one arm- a branch in size when compared to his trunk like arms. She yawned once more, feeling secure, safe and content in his arms. She gave a whine of protest as the arms let her go, shaggy black hair and matching black eyes came face to face with her own golden eyes. As he opened his mouth to speak she squinted, looking at him closely before her hand moved to feel his forehead. "What are you doing?" He gave her a monotonous look, his voice giving away his confusion. "You look pale, are you sick? You werent out in the rain were you? Because you know how i feel about that." A deep chuckle reverberated through the males chest, a form of uniquely wonderful music to the young womans ears after the day she had had. "No... i have not been out in the rain. You're off duty. Go have a quick shower then get to bed. I will join you shortly." She didnt protest- going along with his orders she left to shower . Once out of the shower she put her hair up into a messy bun and wrapped a towel around her body before going to get dressed. She felt more relaxed- at ease- as she slipped into one of Madara's long sleeve navy shirts. Moving over to the bed she smiled, noting how he had pulled the covers back for her. Deftly crawling into bed she let out a moan of content at the beyond amazing feeling. It was like she was laying on clouds, and adding the blanket on top made the feeling that much more heavenly. Mumbling incoherently to herself she heard the door swing open, revealing her soon-to-be husband. He walked -with a demeanour that implemented his authority- over to the bed, removing his shirt to reveal that wonderfully stunning body of his before he removed his pants. For reasons she couldnt comprehend, he had always preferred to sleep naked, not that she
minded of course. She rolled onto her side, watching him as he got into bed, an act which he managed to make look wonderously elegant. Once in bed and the light turned out she moved her head, letting it rest on his chest as he ran his hand gently through her hair- something he had learned that she loved. "Tell me about your shift." It was more of a demand. He knew when something was bothering her, and he much rather preferred to be listening than talking. " you remember the little girl i told you about? The one with the brain tumor... well that little angel passed very early this morning."she mumbled- her attitude having dropped majorly -even more so than when she first arrived home. He held her closer, sighing softly as she continued. "I just amazes me that someone so young, so kind and so very caring could die of something so horrible. She had never hurt anyone let alone lived a proper life and she was always more concerned with how we were than how she was... Madara it was like she knew. She was a beautiful, exuberant light that managed to brighten the lives of anyone, even when they were in their darkest hour." She spoke even softer, the most broken he had heard her to date.

'Just as you did to my life...'

"But im glad shes at peace... she wont ever have to go through that pain again. But i see so many people who abuse their good health at every chance they get, and to see her go through all she did the past two years.. i-its devastating." She frowned. Moving he pulled her on top of him, her body laying atop his as he held her close, placing a soft kiss on top of her head. "Rest... you have more than earnt it. You know she wouldnt want you dwelling on this
