What happened?

I'm in my living room I start to scroll down the channels,there is so much,then I find this horror movie and I click on it and there is a girl and her dad left and her mom is dead then all of a sudden there is lightening-
"Mom the power went out!" I said.
"I know Ella,there is something wrong with my straightener!"
Then,my mom comes down the stairs and she is wearing a knee length,long sleeve dress.
Her hair is half straight. And to top it off black boots.
"Where are you going?" I said.
I am going to a party,but I need to call your father first."
Ring ring ring 5 mins later Ring ring ring.
"Ok I am going to go see whats going on."
20 Minutes later I arrive at my dads house...
We walk into my dads house,its a mess.
I look around and see a pile of mail,most of them are bills.
"Mom whats the date?" I ask. She checks her phone,"Its September 5th 2015,why?" She said.
"These are from last year,and are those bullet holes?" I asked as I fell to my knees and cried.
Then all of a sudden my dad comes out of one of the rooms that has like,seven locks.
He has a stitch across his face,a thick cast on both his left and right leg and arm. What I meant to say there was that he has a cast on his left leg and right arm.
My jaw drops. "We are going." I say as I tug on my moms arm,but she refuses.
Then I shot a 'C'mon' glare at her. She still refuses. I look back at my dad and give him a disappointed nod,just as he is about to talk.
I open and slam the door shut,and start running,I don't know what to do.
Sorry that chapter was so short,the next ones will probably be longer. And when you see this writing,I am making sure you know what I mean,also telling you something like this. I hope you like my book so far!
