"Are you friggen kidding me!" I yelled at myself.

"How on gods earth did my shorts Get bleach on them!? They are bright pink!"

I looked at my once turquoise denim shorts, scrunched up in my hands. They were my favorite pair. Now they are just. PINK.

"Mom! What happened to my shorts I brought last summer!"

"Pardon sweetie?" She said, yelling from downstairs.

"Ugh, just forget it" I said, annoyed.

I threw the shorts on my bedroom floor and rummaged through my drawer.

"Nope, nuh uh" I said, looking at all my shorts.

It was just the beginning of summer, and I obviously needed to go shopping, or ill be stuck in the house for the rest of my days. I was Defiantly not going out wearing those clothes.

"Ugh! Why? Why today of all days do I have a problem choosing something to wear!?" I plonked myself on my bed and sighed.

Ok, I will admit that I am overreacting, just a little, but hey! Today's a very important day for a seventeen year old girl.

Today was the start of summer bonfire party. But that's not the reason I'm having a meltdown. The reason is, that I have a massive crush on this guy. Brandon Thompson. And, Yeah, he isn't the most popular kid, but he isn't a freak either. He works at the pet shop down the road. And can I just say he has the most gorgeous eyes. They are bright blue, like the ocean.

I found some white, Lacey shorts and threw on a black tank top, with my favorite pair of bikini's underneath. I slipped into my Hurley Flip-flops and wriggled my toes, admiring my freshly painted toes.

"There" I breathed, relieved that I actually came up with something to wear. Something that wasn't horrible.

I grabbed my tote bag and shoved a towel, my purse and my phone in it.

"Finally, I'm done"

I swear that was one of the most hardest times for me to get ready to go to the beach. I seriously have a problem. He's not gonna worry about what I look like. But what can I say, I'm a girl, and that's what girls do. Stress about what guys think of them.

"Skylah! Maya's here!" My mom yelled

"Oh, ok, I'm coming" I took one last look at myself in the mirror and sighed. My long, light brown hair was done up in a loose pony tail, my lips were slightly cracked and my blue eyes were watering from staring to long.

"Well somebody likes what they see" I jumped back, away from the mirror.

I turned around and saw my best friend maya, standing at the door, her arms crossed over her chest, a smirk on her face.

"Shit, maya, you scared me!"

"Yeah, your to busy staring at yourself, when there is a beach party going on!"

I just rolled my eyes. She is the biggest drama queen in history!

"So lets go!" She grabbed my arm and literally dragged me down the stairs and to the front door. Can't you tell that she loves me?

"Bye miss Hadley!" She yelled. She was way over excited.

When we got outside she let go of me and fished around in her bag for her car keys. When she found them, she pressed the small button, making the little green car, parked across the road, light up.
