Flying into Hawaii was like Alice waking up in her wonderland. Everything seemed to be and feel so different.
When it came to the time of deciding who was going to sit with who, Liam and I sat together. Even though we didn't have enough plane rides to rotate equally, I still enjoyed talking to Liam for the hours spent traveling to Hawaii. As we flew into the area of the Hawaiian waters, my body itched to smell and feel the air. Liam had the window seat and I felt embarrassed leaving him possibly uncomfortable with me constantly looking out the window.
I felt a bit disappointed that in the row Liam and I sat there were only two seats. Although, to our advantage, that have us more time to ourselves and to get to know each other. We were talking so much my throat began to ache; but I ignored it.
I literally felt like I could feel the outside view just by looking out the window. As I turned away from it, the feeling would fade just only a little bit.
As the plane landed, so did my happiness within me. It felt like the same process as before. The plane lands and everybody stands up and shuffles around due to the limited space we were provided.
Although, this time, I felt less nervous. The thought of knowing I'm not alone anymore brought calmness.
The airport looked just like any other. Not the kind they present in films with it being tropically themed. I reached behind me to see if I could tighten the straps on my backpack.
Liam walked up behind me.
"Hey, love." Liam says with a warming grin.
"Hello, Liam." I smile back. "Is everybody in the bathrooms?"
"Yeah, I'm just waiting here till they get back for my turn." He says sighing a little.
We checked with everybody once they returned if there was anything else they wanted to do before we left. First, Liam and I went to the toilets. When we came back I saw everyone was relaxed in the black leather seats the seating area provided. Louis smiled at me and waved me over.
"Is everybody ready?" I ask.
"Yeah, Harry's just getting apple juice from some place." Louis says loosing focus into the crowd. I guessed that Harry disappeared in that direction.
I felt like my life has changed dramatically in just a snap of two fingers. Its truly unbelievably how quickly your life can just, change. From years of feeling alone, transitioning to my official graduation of my high school in South Carolina, and just with that is when my life began to change for the better. It's as though with the gradual expected difference in life has brought so much more. In high school, they always told us the harder we worked the greater the outcome.
This is my reward from working so hard in life. And it's more than I could ever ask for at the moment.
Harry came back after a few more minutes and we all left the airport. Apparently, Harry called a cab for all of us and our luggage. It was a brilliantly sized van.
My heart started to pound again as the wheels under the cab began to move. With all of the weight, I looked down at the road as I saw the pavement's view began to look slick from the picking up speed. The further we drove away from the city, the more tropical the environment bloomed. Harry sat in the passenger's seat of the van and had the window open. His curls danced rapidly from the whipping wind. The air that passed into the back and hit the trunk door smelled fresh and ongoing. It reminded me of the air in South Carolina; but with much more blooming plants.
It was about a twenty minute drive before we arrived into the driveway. I looked around at everybody. Niall and Zayn stared out the windows in awe. Louis - who was sat next to me - was looking outside my window. Once he saw me he smiled widely.
