We went on our walk in the park. We laughed, we talked. I'd never felt this way towards a guy before. Yea, sure I'd have my crushes, and ever now and then a cute guy would ask me out, but I'd turn them all down.I was waiting for 'Mr. Right'

Guess I found him.

"So, what do you wanna be when you grow up?" Justin asked as we licked our ice creams Justin just bought.

I wipped some chocolate off my lips before answering.

"I don't know yet. Maybe a vet or a police officer." He nodded, and he sucked at his vanilla ice cream.

"I thought singers couldn't eat dairy." I said. Justin shrugged.

"I guess I'm too much of a bad-ass to care." he shot me a smirk, and I laughed.

"Guess so." I agreed.

"You sing any?" Justin asked. I felt a small flutter of butterflies buzz deep in my stomach. I hated this question, which is something almost all my friends ask.

"Yea..alittle." I confessed, but was more scared of what came next.

"Really?" Justin said, seeming surprised. "Sing alittle for me." I sighed.

"I don't really want to." I said, and nibbled off the cone of my ice cream. Justin gave me a look.

"Come on." he said. "You can't sound that bad."

I laughed. "Whatever." I mumbled, and continue to nibble off the rim of my cone as Justin kept on presuring me to sing him a toon.

"Come on." he pressed. "Just a small note. One line of a song. Please?" he looked at me with carmel covered puppy eyes, and I felt myself giving up.

"Nope sorry." I said, and coughed. "I've got a dry throat." I coughed again. Justin seemed like he didn't believe me.

"Yo!" he called over his shoulder at the consession stand guy. "My girl need a water." He tossed Justin an ice cold water and Justin gave him a five dollar bill.

"Here, take a swing." I sighed, and unscrewed the bottle cap, turning the bottle upright, so the nice, cool water could quench my fake dry throat.

"Now sing." Justin commanded, throwing away our ice cream trash. I sighed, giving in, like always.

"Sing what?" I asked, sitting up alittle straighter. Justin shrugged.

"Anything."

"Picky aren't we?" I asked, and Justin laughed.

"Sing." he pressed again. "I won't laugh." I rolled my eyes, and thought of what to sing.

I finally settled on a song that I sang infront of my fifth grade class. Stand by the country band Rascal Flatts. My friends said I sang that song pretty well, so I thought maybe I'd still sound pretty well now.

"You feel like a candle. In a hurricane.

Just like a picture. With a broken frame.

Alone and helpless. Like you've lost your fight.

But you'll be alright. You'll be alright.

Cause when push comes to shove.

You taste what your made of.

You might bend til you break.

Cause it's all you can take.

From your knees you look up.
