Days passed, Gerard woke up and he found himself at the hospital bed. Seeing the bright lights and the white walls, he found Mikey at his side.
"Thank goodness you're awake!" Mikey smiled.
"What happened?" Gerard asked weakly.
"You've been shot twice at the back of your head. Luckily, the surgery is successful."
"Helena... where is she?" Gerard asked.
"I..." Mikey said and he looked away. Then, Gerard saw a note in his hand. A note came from Helena.
Gerard, I'm sorry. I wanted you to know how much you mean to me. I did Faustian Bargain for you because I wanted to save your life. One day we will be together, we will love again, we will laugh again, we will cry again, and we will dance again. It's better off this way. So long and goodnight.
