"did i just say that out loud?" i said.
"uh yeah." beatriz says to me.
then mrs.brenda walks in before jack can say anything else.
"put her down right in that bed. thanks jack you can go now." mrs.brenda says.
i gently lay beatriz down and kiss her forehead.
"im staying right next to her until she's okay." i say sternly.
beatriz looks up at me.
"jack you don't have too. thank you so so much." beatriz says than takes my hand in her hand and kisses it.
i instantly felt fireworks inside of me.
i just want to kiss her lips.
but i can't.
she doesn't like me back.
she just kissed my hand cause i brought her here.
she's just being nice.

"sorry to interrupt you lovebirds but um what happened?" mrs. brenda says.
"someone bumped into me and i fell on my ankle and it hurts like a bitch." i say.
mrs.brenda glares at me then gets ice and places it on my ankle.
"keep that on for 2 hours then take it off and let it rest elevated. goodbye." mrs.brenda says.
i thought she was nice??
then the bell rang.
yay i wanna go home.
but
i can't even walk.
"need help?" jack says.
i nod.
i feel so bad doing this to him.
he's such a nice person.
he carries me all the way to his car.
i check my phone and i get a text from nate saying that he's gonna be gone on a "business trip" all week.
even better.
guess I'll just take care of myself tonight.
with a hurt ankle.

"your house?" jack asks me as he places me gently in the passenger seat.
"yes please." i say softly.

"thanks i think i can walk now." i say limping to the front of my house.
"one question tho." i say.
"why did you do all this for me?" i ask.
jack looks to the ground and shyly smiles.
"im in love with you.
and i just met you.." he says quietly.

jack clears his throat.
"i better get goin, im guessing you wanna rest. uh see you around." jack says turning around with his hands in his pockets.
no jack don't go.

don't leave.
"wait, jack!" i said.
he turns and looks at me.
"stay." i softly say.
"please?" i said again.
