The Dark

As the leaves fell

Her soil rose up,

As to slip into the Heavens,

She was trapped in the utter darkness

No one had come for her

As far as she had known

The autumn leaves falling like rain

Suddenly seemed so far

For in this darkness

There was nothing to see

No rain, sleet or snow

No wind about to blow

No leaves about to fall

No lightening about to crash

Inside this dark was nothing

But yet everything unknown
