"Come on Jeremy . Don't do this ." I said, tears brimming my eyes . He would not look at me straight in the eye , he just continued to admire the dead grass beneath our feet . The party was at least 5 blocks away but you could still hear the songs playing due to the dead silence around us in the empty field .
"I gotta go ." He responded turning around and walking away , shoulders slumped and hands in his hoodie pockets .
I fell to the ground and held my knees to my chest and cried . Why does this always have to happen to me ? I thought . Jeremiah was only my second boyfriend and my first boyfriend was cheating on me for five months and I never found out until he broke up with me . And Jeremiah was the one who was always there to comfort me when I cried .
