Chapter 1 -

Today was the first day of my Senior year in high school. *Ring! Ring!* My alarm rang. "Ughhh." I groaned at the sound of it.

I hated waking up early for school, ever since I was a young child. I slowly got up heading straight to my closet to pick out my outfit for the day.

"This will work." I grabbed a plain white tee along with a pair of high waisted studded shorts.

When I had the outfit on. I went into the bathroom to apply my everyday makeup. Which includes: Eyeliner, mascara, some foundation, and my baby lips chapstick. I wasn't a fan of lip gloss.

After my makeup I curled my blonde hair in ringlets. (A/N How I picture Kayla to look like on the side)

When I was finished doing that I raced downstairs realizing I only had 20 minutes to be at school. Woah, time flies!

As I reached the last step. I realized there was a note on the counter.

I gently picked it up opening it. My eyes scanned over the neatly written penmanship. My mother. It said.

"Have a good day at school sweetie! There's pancakes on the counter. Love you! Xx"

I loved my mother dearly. She works all day at the doctors office. She takes care of sick children. Sometimes I'll go there and help her out.

My father passed away when I was 4 years old. It's been tough but without my mom, I'm not sure what I'd do.

I quickly ate the pancakes. When I was finished I grabbed my backpack an slipped on my white converse. And was out the door.

Now all I had to do was wait for the bus. First day of school, be ready cause I'm coming for you.
