The Elopement (Part 6)

They agreed on the time and place they will meet to elope. They promised each other to elope after Ursula's (Maine) school year ends which is two months from now. Then Ursula went home at peace that she will not be separated from Dodong (Alden).

During breakfast, Isadora (Paolo) told Ursula about the plan to arrange her marriage to Miguel (Sam YG), a son of a family friend. Ursula just nod since she knows she can't win an argument with her mom.

When Ursula went home after her classes, she found some visitors at home. When she asked Yaya Riri (Wally) who are they, she told her, they are the group of designers who will make her wedding gown and her entourage clothes.

Ursula went to asked her mom why it was so early to prepare for the wedding. Isadora answered, they will be married during the Valentine's Day. They (Isadora and her sisters) want it to be a memorable one so they chose a special date.

Ursula reasoned out that she is not yet done with her studies. Isadora assured her she will still finish her studies. Miguel promised them that he will still allow her to finish her course after the wedding. They will just have their honeymoon after the end of the school year.

After that day, Ursula was put on a heavy security with a Rogelio with her 24/7. She tried to use Yaya Riri's clothes to escape the mansion but was found out by the Rogelios. Yaya Riri's action was restricted since they found out she is helping Ursula and she was given a stern warning that if they (guardians) found out she is still helping her, she will be fired from her work.

A week before her wedding, Ursula finally thought of a way to be with Dodong. Everyday, she put some of her clothes in her bag and hide it in her locker. On the 5th day and her last day of her class since her mom told her to be absent, two days before her wedding so she can have a beauty rest. She pretended to be sick and ask permission to go home early. Since her Rogelios only stays at the parking lot in school and another one only goes to the gate before her dismissal time, she sneak out of the gate carrying her bag full of her clothes and went to Dodong's house.

Dodong was surprised but happy to see her. He saw the big bag she's carrying and ask her about it. Ursula told him that she will be married to Miguel in 2 days time. So it is now or never, they have to elope now before her guardians goes to his house to get her.

With haste, Dodong pack his clothes. His parents were surprised by their decision and tried to stop them. He told them they love each other and they don't have a way right now to be together but to elope. Ursula also assured them she was not forced by Dodong to elope and that she will love and care for Dodong. He promised them he will come back for them after he and Ursula get settled. His parents asked him if he knows where they are going to hide. Dodong told them, he is not yet sure but he just know they need to go far from the influence of the Explorer Sisters.

Pendong (may kalbo - Wally) suggested that they go to his Uncle Penoy (Wally) who lives in a far island called Isla Gigantes. Pendong gave them the instructions on how to go there and made a short letter for his Uncle Penoy to accommodate and help them hide for a while. His parents promised to keep their elopement a secret from the Explorer sisters.

After Dodong and Ursula rode a tricycle going to the pier, they saw the Explorers van going to their house. They silently prayed that nothing bad will happen to his parents and that they won't give away the place they are going. When the Rogelios did not find Ursula and Dodong in his home, they went to next place: the pier.

The Rogelios were able to go to the pier and caught the last boat leaving. They searched it thoroughly but they didn't find them. Meanwhile, Dodong and Ursula finally rode the vehicle that will take them to Isla Gigantes. Their bus is travelling to Estancia where they will ride a boat going to Isla Gigantes. This is where they will start their new life.
