I've been walking these barren woods for what seems like years. I can't remember my name, or anything for that matter. I only know how to hunt, and if the time came, I could probably fight. I know I need to find shelter for the night, it's getting late and I still don't know the forest as well as I should.

I slept in too late! It was already Sun-High. I needed to get moving. I don't know where I will go, I just need to get moving. I needed to find some other cat, so I knew I wasn't the only one left in the world. I will have to hunt first, though. I hunt and catch my fill before heading out. I hadn't gone more than twenty fox lengths when I smelled something strange. It smelled of cat, but it was if the cat were made of the wood itself. I moved on.

I hadn't gone far, when something called out to me." What do you think you are doing on ThunderClan territory?" The voice was harsh and sounded scary.

I turned to face them," I-I don't know. Uh." I tried to think of some kind of way to make me seem scary. I decided to just arch my back and hiss." Come any closer and I'll claw your eyes out!" I was excited to see another cat after not seeing any for so long, but I needed to show aggression so they new I wasn't just a helpless kit. I may only be five moons of age, but I had learned a lot on my own. More than most kits.

The cat took an attack stance." You leave me no choice!" The cat jumped on me. In an instant, I blacked out. I don't know why, I just did.

I woke up in a very strange place, It was sunny. Not hot or cold, and this place smelled of prey! It was a place I'd like to stay at.

A starry cat walked up to me. I can't ever remember a cat looking like this. The cat sat down and smiled at me." Hello, little one! Welcome to StarClan! You won't get to stay here long, but I need to tell you something before you go." The cat's eyes turned to flame." When the heart of the flame shines brightest, The fire within will be at it's strongest."

I looked at the cat. I didn't understand what it meant but I knew it must be important. I had to ask some questions." B-Before I go, what is your name?"

"My name is Sandstorm! Now, you must go. I will be with you!"

All went black and I woke up in a soft nest. I didn't move because I didn't know where was. I was scared.

Then a cat came in." Well, well, well, finally awake are we?"
