Raine's POV
The car ride was too silent. The radio wasn't playing and by the looks of it Jayquan was not going to start up a conversation.
The whole situation was awkward. I was contemplating whether or not I should say something.
"So…um, where are we going after school?" I finally asked.
"Don't worry yo pretty little head 'bout dat. Jus make sho you in da parking lot afta school. Ya heard me." He spoke with finality so I didn't even bother saying anything, I just shook my head 'yes'.
When we reached school I was the first one to get out of the car. I didn't know why I didn't say no to him. He was controlling, I could tell by the way he spoke to me a while ago and he was used to having his own way.
I made my way around his car, heading for the school doors when I felt him grab the loop of my pants and pulled my roughly into his chest.
"So you not gon' say goodbye. Not even a little see you lata."
"Jayquan, I don't have time for this." I rolled my eyes at his childish antics.
"Come on ma. We may not be togetha...yet, but still..." He was grinning at me.
"Boy gon ahead with yo overgrown seaweed head ass." I chucked his head and we both laughed.
He wrapped his hands around my waist and I rested my hands on his chest.
"You know you luh' me."
"Well…I don't know about that."
"You a wait and see."
"Whatever Jayquan, I gotta get to class." I tried pushing away from his chest but his skinny ass was too damn strong. I looked up at his face and gave him a death glare. People were staring now and I really didn't like the attention.
"You know you gon' have to be watching yo back na."
"Why you say that?"
"Cuz all these girls gon' be fightin' you ova me when you do eventually become mines."
I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Is that right? Who said I was even gonna be yours. The only thing you gon' get is these hands if you don't let go of me."
He laughed at me. He must think that I'm joking.
He came down to my level and placed his head in the crook of my neck.
"Just so you know, you already mines." He whispered in my ear. This caused a slight shiver to pass through my body, making my fingers tremble.
He gave me a kiss on the cheek then finally released me out of his iron clad grip. I quickly walked away from.
"Don't forget about our date this evening." I heard him holler after me.
I rolled my eyes and hurriedly made my way to my locker. I grabbed my books for history and made a dash for class. I made it just before the second bell rang.
I really needed to put a little distance between me a Jayquan. He was getting past all my defences way too quick and I don't like that one bit.
****
The bell finally rang, signalling that it was time for lunch. I remembered that I hadn't eaten anything for breakfast this morning and I could feel a headache coming on real quick.
Making my way to the cafeteria, I hummed along to the song that was playing in my earphones, Liquor by Chris Brown. He is the bomb and that voice is just so...uhh! He is my all time favourite artiste.
