The bell rang as I charged toward Charlotte. I caught her off guard and slung her toward the ropes as she bounced off of them and I hit her with a flying shoulder. She fell to the ground as I toppled over her and threw a series of punches to her face. She kicked me off and attempted to set me up for her signature, but that failed miserably as I countered with a DDT. We went back and forth for a few more minutes until I saw Seth jump off the apron. He looked as if he was going to try to make a run for the back, but Brock saw it and caught him before he could. He threw him into the ring as I set Charlotte up for a suplex. I watched for Brock to do the same and once I saw Seth's feet leave the ground, I made sure Charlotte's did the same. They flew past each other perfectly and landed on their backs, on either side of the ring.
I paused as Brock and I stood tall in the ring. "One more, guys! For me!" Heyman shouted. We looked at one another and then suplexed them once again. After that, we threw them up on our shoulders and landed an F5. Heyman clapped ringside as we exited the ring. The ref had already called for the bell since Brock interfered. Brock's music played as we made our way up the ramp. The fans were chanting, "Thank you, Casey!" I blew a kiss before we disappeared behind the curtain.
"What was that? You guys were supposed to win that match and instead, you got disqualified?" Paul appeared at the gorilla position.
Brock stepped forward. "It was my idea." He nods toward me. "She only did what I told her to do. And in case you didn't notice, Seth started it anyway, we had to improvise."
Paul sighs. "Well, in any case, the fans liked it, you guys are the talk of social media and Casey, don't go anywhere, we'll be signing your new contract for the main event." I nodded as he walked away. I wondered why our match had been moved and I guess that was why.
"You did well, Casey. This may work after all." Heyman adds as I head to the locker room. I look back and smile. "I'm glad someone has faith in me." As I walked by hair and makeup, I was pulled aside by Mark, the guy who's pretty much over the divas division.
"Hey, you did great out there. I'm sorry for the last minute thing, but I've got to get a new photoshoot done right now for the media. The girls will you get you ready. Thanks!" He runs off as I look back to the hair and makeup crew.
"What just happened?" They laugh and start dolling me up.
When they hand me what I was to wear, I thought nothing of it, until I went behind the curtain and started putting it on. It was all wrong! I was in a red cutout dress with black stilettos and matching jewelry. I came out from the curtain as they looked at me in awe. "Drop dead gorgeous." One of them said.
"Thanks, but I don't think this is the right image... It's too formal for me, Casey Bennett has never been a Nikki Bella." They insisted that I wear it, since Mark had picked it specifically for me. I knew it wasn't going to work, so I called Mark and asked him to come back. Thankfully, Brock and Heyman just happened to be walking by. "Hey, Brock! Come here for a sec." He paused and looked at me. He frowned a bit, then walked over.
I looked to Mark. "See? This doesn't work."
"What are you wearing?" Brock asks.
I nod to Mark. "What he picked out for our photoshoot."
Brock shook his head. "Maybe for Orton, but not for me."
"Thank you! Now, Mark let me show you what it should be." I walked over to the racks and picked a few things out. Then I went behind the curtain to change. When I looked in the mirror, it was right on target. A sleeveless t-shirt with Motivation gets you started, attitude keeps you going on the front, skinny jeans, and black fringe boots. It wasn't girly but it was plenty diva-ish. "This works." I walk over and stand beside Brock as they both look me over.
