Isa

Pilar and I left the house around 7am, which would get us there around 11. I was really nervous about going. I felt weird having so many questions and I almost didn't want to know the answers. Pilar told my parents that we were coming for the weekend just for a visit. Sergio stayed home with SJ, even though he really wanted to come its hard to travel with SJ so we just figured a girls weekend would be best. Vania said she was going to stop by a few times to make sure he doesn't blow up the house. This was the slowest drive to Seville, I don't know why but I feel like we've been in the car forever.

"How far away are we P?"

I asked her over the loud Shakira music.

"I think we're about 30 minutes away actually."

She said going back to singing along to the music, I nodded and went back to reading on my phone. When I'm nervous I read, and I've gone through three Wattpad books so far. Occasionally I looked up to read the road signs to gage how far we were. It wasn't long till we pulled up to my parent's house. I knew for a fact I was starting to get nervous and panic. Maybe I just won't bring it up and have a good weekend. I've gone thing long without asking why now. Life is good enough as is.

"Isa stop over thinking."

Pilar said snapping me out of my rapidly moving thoughts. I turned my head so I faced her and nodded and she smiled and pulled me in for a hug.

"Relax Isa, everything is going to be okay. Don't worry about thins so much."

She said quietly. We pulled apart and headed up to the doorstep and rung the bell. We waited a few seconds before my mom flung the door open.

"Ah come on in Ladies! I'm so happy you came for the weekend!"

My mom beamed. I could hear my dad coming down the stairs to greet us as well.

"Come on in my loves!"

She said moving aside so we could walk in. I loved their house it was so cozy and really felt like home. We all walked in and sat down in the family room and my mom got us something to drink and they sat down across from us.

"So Isa what brings you here so suddenly?"

My dad said noticing how tense I am.

"I just wanted to spend some time here and talk that's all. I feel like I don't see you guys enough."

I said smiling at them, it was true, I missed them a lot I didn't see them much.

"Well sweetheart you're always welcome to come and stay here as long as you want! Same to you Pilar if you ever want to get away. And bring Sergio and the baby next time!"

My mom said. She loved little kids.

"Thank you! We'll make some time to come here again soon. If you will excuse me I need to go rest and make a few calls being pregnant is quite hard on me. "

She said hugging my parents and heading upstairs. Leaving us to chat.

"So Isa my love I have a feeling that I know what you really want to talk about."

My dad said.

"We figured you'd have questions for us eventually. Ask away sweet."

I sat there for a second. Before I said anything.

"Why did you guys put me up for adoption if you were just going to bring me back here?"

I asked, I didn't want to dance around to question at hard, my parents looked at each other and then looked back to me.

"Well Isa, I had you 12 years after Sergio. We didn't expect to have another baby. But we were so happy when I got pregnant again."

My mom says.

"We ended up losing our jobs soon after and it became really hard to just provide for the three growing kids. Sergio started playing soccer ore seriously and we were struggling. When you were born why were so happy but we knew that you would never have the opportunities we wanted you to have. We made the hardest choice a parent has to make."

My mom said, my dad picked up where she left off.

"It wasn't that we didn't want you but we couldn't give you guys a good life, the family you went to couldn't have a baby. So they said they would raise you. We came looking for you because they got back in contact with us after 16 years and we could believe how you grew up and we originally only planned to come meet you but we saw how they treated you and so we figured we'd ask if you want to come here. We have lied with the guilt o gibing you up for all the years but look how you have grown. You're so talented, strong, caring, and wonderful just like you siblings. They always wanted you to stay and Rene even went looking and begging for jobs for us and himself so we could keep you."

My dad said with tears in his eyes. I kind of couldn't believe it.

"I had no idea."

I said looking at both of them. I stood up and they did too and we just stood there and hugged each other.
