I remembered swimming in the never ending ocean. Floating in the void free of gravity. The ocean was something I loved, something I respected. I understood its beauty and its dangers. I found true fascination by the way the waves softly crashed against the rocky beach, their curling fingers brushing each stone with a gentle caress as the wind ushered them gently towards the shore. The way the sun shone off the rippling water, its golden light from the sun warped into a kaleidoscope of colors. No description can truly capture its mysterious majesty, yet only a few words can express its beauty.
I looked at the setting sun and was memorized by its vibrate colors. The hues of orange, red, and yellow. How can something so beautiful only last a couple of minutes. It's funny to think that it sort of compares to our lives. When you're hanging out with your friends and having a fantastic time and wishing the moment never ends but you soon realize that it is time for you to go home and end the beautiful day. Once you reach home you go straight to bed and think about the entire day and all funny things that had happened. Or when you have to say goodbye to a loved one. The first thing that comes to mind are the those moments where you had the time of your life. Those times that were special to you. Those are the beautiful moments that last only seconds but stay in your mind for a life time. That in my opinion is a beautiful thing. Just like how I can describe a sun setting over the horizon. Something that lasts seconds but stays in you mind leaving you to want more.
Of course that is only my opinion but at least I would like to say I speak for others out there. I run my hand trough the sand gracefully going over the top and smoothing it out. As I hear the waves crash on the shore I immediately get washed over with a sense of peace and comfort. I lie down facing up at the descending sky while slowly going in and out of consciousness. After what seems like ages I finally let the darkness consume me.

"Alice where are you" said a sinister voice. I looked all around me trying to find where the voice is coming from. I spin around in circles and all I see are trees. A forest. I'm in a forest. How the hell I did get here?
"HELLO" I yell out while walking straight ahead while being cautious of the branches and pieces of wood on the ground. Cupping my hand over my mouth I called out again but still got no response. My hand ran trough my dark blue hair, I have seen enough movies to know this will not end well for me or this Alice person. I took a look at my surroundings to only see how pitch black it truly was out here and after moments of silence I heard a blood curling scream.
"Help" a small voice of plea was heard. It came from the right of me so I made the wise choice of running towards it not turning to look back. "Help" the voice grew stronger and stronger as I approached closer. As soon as I made my way towards the sound I saw two figures one on the ground and the other hovering over the other person. If that isn't horrifying than I don't know what is. I stepped to nearest tree and hid behind it, popping my head out once in a while to catch a glimpse of something I wish I never saw.
"ANSWER ME" yelled the man--who I am going to call 'shadow'--as he kicked the person who I am assuming is Alice in the face. You can hear her whimpers and pleas and I cringed and hid behind the tree so would not have to see the horrendous sight. After what seems like aeons of screams and punches it finally fell silent. I don't know weather to be glad or frightened. Slowly I peeked my head out only to come face to face with 'Shadow.' I yelped and fell on the cold hard ground hissing from the pain that went up my body.
Looking up at this man I took in his appearance. Dark brown hair with intense cold hard eyes that looked like they held fire behind them. His outfit was all ripped up and smeared with dirt and blood. A trench coat wrapping around his muscular frame and tight black jeans with matching boots. Still staring at him I slowly pushed my self backwards trying to disappear into nothing. With every slide I took another step he would move forward. He wore a sinister smile on his face one that could only mean one thing. . .I'm not making it out alive. I gulped and silently prayed in my head for all this to be a dream but for some reason that didn't convince me and by the time I was done talking to myself Shadow was standing right in front of me.
As a reflect I let out a loud high pitched scream. So would say it sounds like a girl and I would be embarrassed to even yell but right now I could give two shits about my girly scream. He moved closer wrapping one hand under my arm to pull me to my feet while the other clamped itself over my mouth to prevent me from yelling. I tired everything I could to get out of his hold but my attempts were futile. He dragged me over to what once was his other victim. Taking a glance at the body laying limp on the ground made my entire body shake with fear.
Head gashed open, wide eyes, cuts from both ends of her mouth going upwards into a smile. Clothes ripped and dirty, stab wounds all over her stomach and bruises on every inch of her body that you could hardly tell what her skin color was. I felt myself gag at the sight. A warm breath near my ear made my body immediately go into a frenzy.
"Do you like my newest work? I have to say this one has to have been the best out of all of them. Don't you think so?" He gripped my face and turned me around so our chests were touching and I was staring up at his black soulless eyes. I guess I took to long to answer because the next thing I know I feel a searing pain on my left check and I'm back on the floor. Help me. Mom, dad, anyone. . .
I knew I couldn't get away since being on the floor versus a guy walking their would be no chance of escaping. Sanding In front of me he grabbed onto my right leg pulling me while I desperately tried to cling onto the dirt and grass beneath me. Screaming and trashing around only mad him get angrier as he let me go and took out a knife from who knows where. I knew this was it, so goodbye cruel world. Closing my eyes to accept my fate I felt a pain on my chest. My breaths became shorter and soon I was swimming in nothing but blackness.
